When Giselle was outside of her home, she felt more than nervous. She took a deep breath and calmed herself down a bit, before she and Mason went inside. The moment they went inside, she was surprised to see her sisters, her mother, and her brother waiting for her. They actually looked sorry, and that surprised her.
"Mason, would you like a cup of coffee?" Amy asked,"I know you can't have any, G, but I-I made your favorite juice." Her sister smiled nervously, and Giselle simply nodded, as did Mason.
Mason sat down on a chair once Amy had brought him coffee, and Giselle say down close by. She felt a little weirded out actually, by her family as they stared at her. She wanted to cover herself with a blanket and disappear at this point.
"Giselle, we're sorry." Ellen blurted out, and her other family members nodded.
"We didn't mean to hurt you like that, baby girl. We love you, and we want you to always feel happy and accepted in this house. You're so special to us, and we're excited for you and Mason." Momma said, causing Giselle's eyes to go wide.
"Did you do this?!" Giselle whisper-yelled at Mason, but Mason simply pointed to his coffee, telling her he wasn't talking.
"Truth be told, I was mad, at first," Amy began,"but that was only because you're my little sister, and I didn't want to lose you. Then, once I got over it, and realized you weren't leaving, I couldn't figure out a way to even begin saying sorry to you." Amy explained, and Giselle smiled lightly.
"I was mad because I thought I was losing my twin sister. I mean, you're always doing something, and we don't hang out anymore. I just thought that if I ignored you, that I wouldn't hurt as much when you actually did leave." Gilbert stated, making Giselle frown.
"I was never going to leave, Gilbert. I was going to stay here. I was just going to ask about Mason being here more for me and for the baby." She said, and her mother nodded.
"Of course," Momma answered,"He can stay as long as he likes." She added, giving the man a nod.
Giselle was shocked to see the change in her family, but she had a feeling that Mason was somehow accountable for this. There was no way they changed that fast in one day without someone making them see what they were doing wrong. Even if Mason wasn't accountable, Giselle couldn't be any more grateful for whoever or whatever changed her family's mind and made they finally accept her and her baby.
"Oh!" Giselle gasped, grabbing the bag from the floor,"I got something for you guys to open. It's a gender reveal gift." She said, as she passed the bag to her mother.
Momma pulled the paper from the bag, before she carefully reached in. When she pulled the little pair of pink booties out of the bag, she let out a cry of happiness. Amy quickly jumped from her spot and ran over to her sister. She wrapped her arms around her and hugged her carefully.
Ellen hugged her next, but she wasn't as loud about it as Amy had been. Giselle then went over and hugged her mother. Gilbert was the last one to hug her and congratulate her on the little girl. Giselle watched as her sisters and mother showered Mason with affection, as Gilbert slowly made his way over to her.
"Congratulations, Giselle." Gilbert murmured, as he pulled his sister into a hug.
"Don't you ever treat me like that again, Gilbert Grape, or I'll never forgive you." Giselle stated, and Gilbert nodded.
"I'm sorry," He replied,"I really am. If I could take back all of it, I would. You're my twin sister, my best friend, and I never want to hurt you like that again." He said, causing his sister to smile.
Mason left the house for a bit to grab himself some clothes, before he came back to stay a few days with Giselle and the rest of the Grape family. He was still a bit unsure about them, but he was going to eventually forgive them for how they treated Giselle. He was just glad she was happy again, and had her family back like she had wanted for so long.
The poor girl had gone through so much, and Mason hoped that nothing like that would happen again. He wasn't going to allow someone to ever hurt Giselle again, even if it was her own family. He'd die for her, and if he had to, he'd kill for her.
One day, he planned to marry this girl. She was the girl of his dreams. She was giving him a daughter, and she made his life worth living. After he lost his mother, he was simply coasting through life. He never thought he'd find a reason to truly care about life, and really live it out, but Giselle was that person.
She was the person that made him realize that life wasn't as meaningless and unfullfilling as he had once thought. She gave life a new color that he had never seen before. She had given experiences that he couldn't even dream of without her. She was his everything, and nobody was going to take away her light.
Her light danced behind her eyes, as she smiled and laughed. Her laugh was like music, and her smile lit up a room when she walked in. Whenever he was having a bad day, she would make it better. She made him want to be happy, even when he had only moments ago wanted to be angry.
She was the reason he was a better person. He could never go back to the person he was before, and he was proud of himself for that. He would thank her a million times for all the love and support she gave him, even when she didn't know she was doing it. She was just simply his person, his muse...
