Giselle wasn't ashamed of Mason; far from it actually. She just knew that her family could be a little too much when it came to outsiders. Well, actually, it was more along the lines of "friends" and not outsiders, but to Giselle, it seemed that Momma had a problem with a lot of people. She didn't like anyone seeing her or being in their house. Hell, even Gilbert's friends weren't allowed inside, and they had known Gilbert since elementary school.

Giselle was somewhat friends with Gilbert's friends, but she'd rather hang out with Tucker over Bobby. Bobby kind of freaked her out, since he talked about dead bodies and such quite a lot. Tucker was less freaky, and he was quite respectful towards Giselle. He even scolded Gilbert at times when he was being rude to or about Momma.

Anyhow, Giselle had gotten a day off, since the only pharmacist working at the drug store had an emergency appointment. Giselle didn't mind though, since that meant she could relax and not have to deal with so many dumb questions for the day. Giselle had gone into work, only for the pharmacist to tell her he had to run and that the drugstore was closed for the day.

Since she was already in town, she decided to spend the day doing things she wanted to do. So, she went to the bookstore and picked up one of the many books she had been meaning to read. About once a month or so, Giselle would buy herself a book from the bookstore, but she always made sure it was a used book, so it costed a lot cheaper. The book she had purchased was Little Women.

After getting the book she wanted, she stopped at the diner to get herself a coffee and a muffin. She didn't always have time to eat at the diner, but she loved their banana nut muffins, so any chance she got, she would stop by to get one. They tasted like heaven, and they were big enough to keep her full for a few hours. That was one of the only things she'd ever finish on her own when going somewhere to eat.

After leaving the diner, she started her walk to Lamson's, since she left her car at the drugstore. The town was small enough for her to walk around if she wanted, and she liked walking around and getting fresh air. It was also cheaper for her to walk instead of drive everywhere. As she walked past the courthouse, she heard Mason's car pulling up next to her.

"What are you doing out of work?" Mason asked, as he beckoned Giselle to get into the car.

"I got the day off; didn't know until Burns told me he had to run, and the drugstore would be closed for the day." Giselle replied, and Mason nodded.

"I'm picking up a few parts to work on Mr. Audrey's truck. You feel like hanging out at my place for a couple hours?" Mason asked,"I'll get you back to Lamson's by lunchtime with your brothers." He commented, causing her to smile.

"Yeah, I can hang out for a couple of hours." She replied, making a grin appear on his face.

Mason ran inside the auto part store and grabbed what he needed, before he drove them to his house. He had a nice place. It was a two story farmhouse-like style home, which was all white, and had a wrap around porch. There was a garage nearby that could hold up to four cars, but it looked like Mason had gotten them built recently.

Mason lead Giselle inside, and she was a little astonished at how clean and prestine the house was. Everything looked new, and she knew the house itself was old. If she remembered correctly, it was built in the 1800s, but it looked like a new house. There wasn't anything even remotely wrong with it, at least to where she could notice, and she knew then that Mason knew how to fix practically anything.

"You want a soda or beer?" He asked, causing her to nod.

"Soda is fine." She replied, and he nodded as well.

He reached into the fridge and grabbed himself a beer and her a soda. A couple of weeks ago, he had gone out and bought a few of her favorite sodas. He wasn't sure when he'd have her at his place, but he wanted to be prepared for her at any moment. He didn't want her feeling uncomfortable or anything because he didn't have anything she liked to eat or drink.

"Come on outside, you can watch me work, or I can teach you a few things if ya want." He said, and she smiled.

Mason and Giselle went to his garage and he popped the hood of the car he was working on. As he worked on the car, he would tell her names of different tools, and he would show her what to use them on. He also explained some of the parts of the car, and what the parts did, as well as why he needed to replace a few parts.

When he had finished, he and Giselle went back inside so he could wash his hands. The two joked around and laughed for a bit, and eventually they were wrapped in each other's arms again. Giselle's arms were loosely wrapped around Mason's neck, as she gazed up at him with a smile on her face. Leaning forward, Mason placed a kiss on Giselle's lips, and she grinned.

"I love you." She murmured, but then her eyes went wide as she realized what she had said.

Before she could backtrack or try and play it off, Mason placed another kiss on her lips, murmuring "I love you, too."

Giselle grinned as she let out a happy laugh, and Mason couldn't keep the smile off his face with her reaction. He truly did love the girl, and she really loved him.

"I know I might regret it," She began,"but I think you should come meet my family. Saturday night, we can have a dinner, and you can meet them all." She said, and he smiled.

She wasn't sure if she was going to regret everything or not...
