Having to tell the family was something Giselle dreaded. She didn't know how they'd react, but she had a feeling it wouldn't be good. She knew her family well, and they weren't the biggest fan of change, especially Gilbert and Momma. Momma hated change, or more like hated bringing people into their lives change.

Giselle spent the entire day practically eating her nerves, which was something she hated doing. She didn't like the idea of eating her feelings, but she couldn't help herself. The baby didn't let her keep most of the food down anyway, so it wasn't like she was going to put on too much weight at one time. This was the only time she was going to allow herself to eat her feelings. She wasn't going to let it become a habit.

Momma had been the one to eat her feelings a lot, and Giselle seen what happened to her because of it. Hell, the woman would simply eat because she was bored, which happened to be quite often. She could barely move around the house, and when she did, a person could easily hear her coming. The floorboards and such creaked under her weight. Sometimes Giselle and Gilbert were surprised that the floor and couch didn't buckle completely under Momma's weight.

Don't get it twisted, Giselle loved her mother, she just didn't like certain habits and such that she had. Giselle had wished that Momma would break the habit of eating all the time, and finally go out and get some exercise. If she would work off some of her weight, she'd be a lot happier, and definitely a lot healthier. Giselle wanted her mother to live a long time, but it seemed the woman was too wrapped up in food and TV to worry about her own health.

Giselle wasn't like Gilbert when it came to Momma. She didn't constantly let people joke about the woman, or berate her when given the chance. Yes, sometimes she joked with Gilbert, but she didn't let anyone else do it. That was her mother, and nobody was allowed to be mean to her mother. Gilbert didn't have that same mentality, and it honestly frustrated Giselle at times.

Knowing how Gilbert was towards their mother, made Giselle truly wonder how he'd be towards her. She didn't want to be the butt of all Gilbert's jokes. She knew she wouldn't be able to handle it. He could be mean when he wanted to be, especially when he was angry or upset about something.

Mason tried his best to make her believe that she didn't need to worry too much. The problem was that he knew how mean Gilbert could be when he when he wanted to be. He also knew that the family sometimes didn't do well with emotions and change, and he had a feeling it wasn't going to be great.

Mason picked Giselle up from work that evening, and he drove her to the Grape house. He didn't always pick her up from work and drop her off at home, since he knew she liked being independent and driving herself to and from work. Giselle held his hand the entire ride, and Mason could practically feel her worry as she squeezed his hand.

When they parked outside the house, Giselle felt her stomach churn for a moment. Even her body was reacting to how nervous she was. She needed to calm herself down, but it really was a lot harder than it sounded. The more she tried to calm down, the more scared she became.

Anyhow, Arnie came running outside to greet her soon after she arrived, so she didn't really get much time to control her emotions. She put on a smile though, to mask the nervousness she was feeling. She and Mason went straight into the house with Arnie.

"Hey guys," Amy greeted,"dinner will be ready in a few minutes." She said, and the couple nodded.

Giselle had remembered to tell Amy that Mason was coming over for dinner. She didn't tell anyone why, but nobody seemed to ask. They seemed to assume that it was just because she wanted him to, and they left it at that.

About ten minutes later, dinner was ready and Amy was carrying it out to the table in the living room. She set the food down, and everyone began to pile food on to their plates. They all ate in silence for a few moments, before small talk was heard around the table.

Mason could tell that Giselle was nervous, so he grasped her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Giselle let herself calmly breath in and out for a moment, before she decided to finally tell everyone her secret. She couldn't hold it anymore, they had to know.

"I have an announcement," Giselle said, causing everyone to look over at her,"I-I'm pregnant."

The room stayed silent for a moment, and the moment felt longer than anything in the world. She could practically hear the anger building within her mother and Gilbert. She had been reckless, and she knew she had, and now she was having to face the consequences.

"Are you serious?" Gilbert asked, his voice like venom when it rang through the air.

"Yes." She murmured, causing him to scoff.

Gilbert angrily stood up from the table and stomped out of the room. The room went silent once again, before Momma spoke.

"You really messed up, Giselle." She scolded, but that was all that came out of her mouth.

Nobody else spoke after that, and Giselle felt her heart sink. Mason kept his cool, though he wanted to blow up on the family. He was pissed at them, but he didn't want to upset his girlfriend. Giselle didn't even bother finishing her dinner. Instead, she stood from the table and left the room. Mason quickly followed after her. He didn't want to be in the same room as any of them. He only wanted to be there for Giselle...
