Cw: vomit, missuse of pain medicine, panic attacks, blood, eating disorder

Mari watched as her little brother paced around the room. "I swear to god! There was something about him!" He shouts. He slumps against the wall, hands on the side of his head. "Hearing things again?" Mari asked gently. Sunny shook his head, "Ugh, I wish. This time I'm just trying to hide from my damned thoughts."

Mari nods, sitting next to him. "Who are you thinking about?" Sunny sighed, hiding his face in his hands. "This guy from work. He's new, his first day. And I can't stop thinking about him. He just reminds me of someone!"

"Do you know who?"

Sunny nods frantically, "Yes! Clear as god fucking day! That boy from elementary school! Who never stopped bugging me! Until I started hanging out with him! He looks almost the exact same! Just… ffffuuuck me!!!" Mari tilts her head. "Fuck emotions! Fuck reality! Fuck everything!" Sunny yells, frustrated.

Mari chuckles and wraps an arm around her brother. "Calm down, hun. Maybe he remembers you." Sunny scoffs, "how would he remember me? That kid always had the worst memory. If anything, I'd have to remind him. And I'm not doing that. It could like, not be him. And I could come off as an absolute freak."

"Oh don't say that! I'm sure it's him. If he looks so much like him, then it has to be." Sunny groans.

"Fffffffffuck. I need drugs." He mutters, standing up. Mari rolls her eyes. "Stop calling the painkillers drugs." "But that's what they are!" Mari sighs. "And stop using them to get high!" "Would you rather I get drunk?" Sunny asks, poking his head out of the bathroom.

Mari sighs and shakes her head. "That's what I thought. Now don't bother me, just let me trip out in my room." Sunny mutters, walking to his room. Mari groans, "you have a problem." "No shit."

Kel yawns, his eyes fluttering open. He rubs his eyes and sits up. There were bags of chips and dirty noodles cups on his bed. He must've drunk-binged again. He sighs, he'll deal with the mess later.

It was already time for him to leave again. He hops out of his bed, wincing at the throb in his head. He quickly gets his uniform on, feeds Hector, and heads out of the apartment.

He probably should've taken medicine for his headache, but he doesn't have time for that. He'll survive. He arrives later than he did last time. But that's fine, he isn't late or anything. He opens the door, freezing as the others look at him.

"...am I late?" He asks tiredly. Giovanni shakes their head. "Not at all! If anything, Sunny's going to be late. There's five minutes till we open." Jackie nods, "Yeah, I wonder if he's okay. He's usually really early." Kel shrugs, "he might just be tired. I know I am."

He smiles as he makes his way behind the bar. "You look tired. You did yesterday too." Giovanni mutters. "Are you sleeping enough bud?" Kel nods, he didn't want to worry them. Giovanni and Jackie exchange worried looks.

They pay no mind to it. Just before opening time, Sunny came rushing in. "Sorry if I'm late. Slept too late." He explains, rushing behind the counter. "You look like you're high." Jackie states. Kel looked closely at him, he kind of did. "Shit. Is it that obvious?" He asks under his breath.

Kel was shocked, "wait. You're actually high?" Sunny nods slowly. "Ugh, yeah. Yeah I am. I am perfectly fine to be working." He growls. Jackie hums, not saying anymore to him. Instead, she leans over to Kel. "Try not to bother him much. He's really irritable like this." Kel nods.

Through his shift, Kel kept finding himself watching Sunny. The pale boy hadn't lied, he was very diligently making and serving drinks. Albeit he was kind of slow and zoned out every now and then, but he'd come back to reality and continue working.
