A small, black haired boy stood in the middle of the playground, seemingly lost.
It was his first day of school, and it was currently recess. No one had tried talking to him. So he was alone.
The small boy slowly walked away from the playground, sitting down on a bench.
He sniffles, tears welling up in his eye.
His head is hung low as he fights back tears, not wanting to cry on his first day.
Like he always does.
Just as he's about to begin crying, someone calls out to him. The squeaky voice of another boy.
"Hey!"
A brown haired, tan skinned boy runs up to him.
"You're new right?" He asks excitedly.
The black haired boy nods, sniffling.
The brunette boy grins, "hi! My name is Kel! Well, it's actually Kelsey, but that's too girly! Don't ya think?"
The noirette shakes his head, confused by the boy's words.
"Oh, really? Anyways, I'm Kel! What's your name?"
The small boy hesitates, but eventually finds his voice. "Sunny…"
"Sunny? That's a cool name! I wish I were named after something so cool!"
Sunny felt his ears heat up.
Kel pauses for a moment. "Oh! I wanna give you this! I found it over by the creek! I'm not supposed to go over there, but they haven't stopped me yet!"
Kel holds out his hands, bouncing excitedly.
Sunny hesitantly reaches his hand out, letting Kel give him whatever it was he found. Kel places the item in Sunny's hand, awaiting his response.
It was… a rock. It was a rock.
Sunny tilts his head, looking at it closely. The speckles on the rock glimmered in the sunlight, making it seem like it was coated in glitter.
Sunny's eyes lit up and his lips parted in amazement.
"Isn't it cool!? I saw it, and then I saw you, and I was like, 'wow! He'd really like this'!! Do ya!? Do ya do ya do ya!?" Kel exclaims quickly.
Sunny nods quickly, still staring at the rock.
"YES!!! Come on! Let's go play together!"
Sunny looks up at him, confused.
"Well we're friends now, aren't we? Now come on! I brought my action figures with me! We can play with those!"
Kel grabbed Sunny hand, pulling him off of the bench and toward the playground. Sunny gripped the rock tightly in his hand, not wanting to lose it.
He made a friend! On his first day!
This was the best first day ever!

Sunny jolts awake, quickly sitting up. "I'M AWAKE." He yelps. He looks around and up at his friend.
Meido, a pale skinned person with pitch black hair, chuckles, "good morning sleeping beauty!" They joke. "Class is over, silly! We can go home now!" They chirp, trying to pull him up out of his seat.
