No this is not the third chapter of Trauma Gang. Just something random I thought of.
It takes place a few weeks after Aubrey's arrival.
Enjoy I guess.

"What's his problem?" Aubrey asks, staring at a sulking Kel.
"Someone found his pocket knife and told one of the attendants." Basil mutters.
Aubrey nods, frowning. "I think they already called his parents." Basil adds.
"Are his parents really that bad?"
"I don't know. I've never seen them. His brother is the only one who visits."
Aubrey sighs, going back to fidgeting with Sunny's hair. It was just long enough to put in a ponytail. So, she was trying to braid it. It… wasn't going well.
One of the attendants enters the room, it was Lily. "Kel, can you come with me for a minute?" She asks gently. Kel slowly stands up and follows her. Aubrey and Basil share glances.
Kel walked slowly beside Lily. She tried to talk to him, but he wouldn't respond. "Kel, we aren't mad at you. Okay?" Still no response.
Eventually, they made it to an office. Lily opens the door for Kel to head inside. Kel takes a seat in front of the desk. A hand was set on his shoulder. He looks up to the owner of the hand.
His eyes widen, "Hero!" He shouts, tackling his older brother into a hug. Hero chuckles, wrapping his arms around Kel. "Hey, buddy! It's good to see you." He greets happily.
After a good few minutes, Kel lets go of his brother and sits back down. He looks up at the lady behind the desk, the card on the edge had 'Ms. Lindsey' written on it. "Alright, let's discuss something. But first, can you explain why your parents aren't here?"
Hero scoffs, "those two wouldn't show up even if their lives depended on it." Kel nods slowly. Ms. Lindsey hums. "...Alright then. Let's get started."
Hero nods.
"Kel, you know you weren't supposed to have this. And yet you hid it from us." Ms. Lindsey says, gesturing to the pocket knife on the desk. "You were going to take it from me if I didn't!" Kel retorts. Hero puts his hand on Kel's. "Calm down. Try to explain why calmly."
Kel looks down, going quiet. "It's important." He murmurs. "It's important, how?" Ms. Lindsey asks.
Kel hesitates. "Hero gave it to me when we were kids… I hardly see him now." He says quietly.
Hero frowns, glancing off to the side.
"It's the only thing I have that reminds me that someone still actually cares about me."
Ms. Lindsey sighs, "Kel, you have a lot of people who care about you."
Kel scoffs, "right. I don't believe that."
Ms. Lindsey opens her mouth to speak again, but Kel cuts her off. "Hero is the only person who actually cares. All of you are just doing your jobs." He growls.
Ms. Lindsey glances over at Hero, hoping for his help.
"Uh, she's right, Kel. They all care about you as well. It might be their job, but they really do care." Hero says, trying to assure his younger brother.
Kel goes quiet. The two adults wait for his response. "Can I just have it back, please?" Kel mutters after a moment.
Ms. Lindsey sighs, "Kel. This is a weapon. We can't give it back because we don't want you using it as such."
