Content: kind of sexual themes but not really
Crickets chirp quietly, their songs growing quieter as the sun begins to rise.
The trees and fauna glimmered in the sun's rays, dew from the previous rainfall dripping onto the forest floor.
This wonderous world full of geographical beauty was home to all sorts of magical creatures. It was fanciful. Akin to an old fantasy book written by human historians.
But this world was no fantasy. It was as real as human life itself.
Large winged cats, horned dogs and wolves, shape-shifting daemon, and even galactic wildlife. All of it would seem fake to an outsider.
But to any normal inhabitant, it was just the usual. The two legged, self aware beings, otherwise called 'Somniatores', were used to this life.
The human boy had looked upon this world in awe. His dark hazel eyes filled with stars. He viewed this world as some sort of paradise.
The boy, who went by the name Kel, had been inhabiting this world for years now. And as he went along through this unfamiliar planet, he grew to call the place home.
His journey was eventful, join me through this retelling of the events that occurred.
Kel slowly awoke, blinking his eyes open. His vision was still blurry as he looked around. He was unable to identify the figures that stood around him.
"Ah, I think he's awake!" One of them spoke in a hushed whisper.
"Oh, I think you're right brother!" Another chirps excitedly.
Kel sits up slowly, rubbing the fatigue out of his eyes. He looks up at the two standing above him, now able to distinguish their appearances.
A boy and a girl, both wearing similar looks of astonishment on their faces. The boy had long, curly black hair that was tied back into a low ponytail by a red ribbon. His right eye was covered by a black eyepatch. His left was black with specks of royal purple, making it look like a small galaxy. His pupil was white. He wore a pastel yellow button up shirt, covered by a pastel pink sweater vest. His shorts were a sandy beige, and his socks were a dark reddish-brown. His shoes were starkly black.
The girl had very long, dark purple hair. Her eyes were very similar to the boy's uncovered eye. Her outfit was very similar to the boy's, only she wore a skirt and red ribbon around her neck. They both had pale skin.
"Hello! My name is Mari!" The girl chimes.
The boy sighs, "sis, we don't even know if he can understand us."
"Oh, you're right!" She exclaims. She looks back at Kel, "can you understand us!?" She shouts, as if she was talking to a deaf dog.
Kel nods slowly. Mari smiles, "that's good! So, I'm Mari, and this is my little brother Sunny!"
Sunny waves at him shyly. "What's your name?" Mari asks, holding out her hand.
Kel hesitates before grabbing her hand. "I uh… My name's Kelsey. Kel for short."
Mari helps him to stand. "Aw, that's such a cute name! It's nice to meet you Kel!"
The purple haired girl turns to Sunny. "Oh, um… I-It's nice to meet you." He stutters out, his face flushing a light red. He seemed much more introverted than his sister. It reminded Kel of his older brother, Hero. He missed his brother, he'd gone missing just a few days after Kel's thirteenth birthday.
Kel frowns at the memory of his brother. "Hey, what's wrong?" Mari asks worriedly. Kel shrugs, "Oh, it's nothing. Just thought of something kind of sad. I'm fine though!"
