Stranger sat in front of the pool of water, calmly listening to the rushing of the waterfall above it. He'd decided to visit home for a while until he left with his friends.
His clawed feet were dipped into the cool water, sending an icy rush through his body. His tail waved slowly behind him, showing his content. He wore the crown of thorned vines he never usually wore atop his head. This was his favorite area in Blackspace. It was quiet, calm, and hardly anyone else was here.
Sure, there was a young boy that would frequently zoom past him with a greeting, but he meant no harm. Just an energetic youth, spending his endless time in a way he enjoys.
There were a few other inhabitants of this specific section in Blackspace, but they were less extroverted. They preferred to keep to themselves and enjoy the quiet. When they'd come across each other, they'd bow their heads in quiet, polite greeting. Even the energetic boy was more introverted than anything, he was just polite with greetings.
There's a rush of wind from the boy's quick running that was usually followed with an even quicker greeting. Stranger always shouted back a greeting. But this time, it was different.
The quick boy skidded to a stop upon seeing Stranger. He rushes over to him, plopping down beside him. He was breathing heavily. "Hey Stranger!!" He exclaims.
Stranger smiles, "greetings, Lumin. Decided to take a break?" Lumin nods, "Yeah, just a quick one though!!" The boy was called Lumin not only due to his bright colors, but also because of his sunny demeanor. And also because of the fact that he was able to move at the speed of light.
Stranger nods, "ah, my apologies. I often forget you do not like being slow." Lumin smiles brightly, "it's cool dude!! Thanks for letting me sit with you!! Bye!!" He shouts before taking off again.
Stranger hums, a lovely boy he was. He looks to the side of the waterfall, taking notice of the absence of the mirror. "Ah, I wonder what poor soul got caught in a game with him? Hm, hopefully they make it out of here okay." He mutters.
He chuckles, "Oh who am I kidding. No one ever escapes a game with him. Oh, Iromi, what will we ever do with you?"
Stranger startles as there's a gentle poking on his shoulder. "Ah, speak of the devil and he shall appear. Sit with me Iromi. You must be tired after your game." The glassy skinned boy sits on his knees next to Stranger. There was a red ribbon tied loosely into a bow around his neck.
"So, what brings you to me? I know you don't normally enjoy talking. So you must have a good reason."
The boy looks up at the waterfall, his glassy skin reflecting it. Iromi was another inhabitant of Blackspace. He was made of glass, and his body adorned with cracks. Despite him being on the constant brink of shattering into millions of useless shards of glass, he was energetic and didn't seem to mind his constantly deteriorating body.
Stranger has known Iromi for quite some time now, having met him early on just after his birth. He knew a new Iromi would be born once the current one shatters. And he promised he'd always be there for each newly born Iromi. He'd witnessed Iromi's shattering and recreation multiple times now.
"Just here to relax? That's quite alright. That is why I am here too." Iromi sits quietly next to Stranger, picking at a loose shard on his right arm. "I would be careful doing that. You do not want to shatter prematurely, do you?" Iromi shakes his head gently, placing his hands politely on his lap.
"Where has your mirror gone, I wonder? Did your bait break it again?" Iromi nods. "Hm, how unfortunate. Well, I hope you are able to fix it. You need a place to sleep after all." Iromi nods, leaning against Stranger's arm.
