ashton's hands were laced with mine as we entered a tall, glassed building. the lady at the desk looked up and smiled at him, eyeing me closely. "it's okay love, we're almost there." ashton assured me, kissing my nose softly before bringing me to a flight of stairs.
once we reached the bottom ashton pulled me down a narrow hallway and into a big room. cameras were set up at every possible angle, a big white screen with a matching floor corresponding it took up most of the space. it was a typical studio, someone yelling at someone else to fix the lighting.
"he's here! places!" a girl with dyed white hair shouted. why do so many people strive to look old? i hid behind ashton as she approached us. "are you ready?"
"always." ashton gave her a warm smile before turning around to face me. "just sit in that chair over there and act cute."
i did as told, sitting in one of the weirdly uncomfortable chairs and watching ashton get ready. he put on a leather jacket over a white t-shirt, some girl starting on his make up and i chuckled slightly making him turn around.
"something funny?" ashton raised an eyebrow at me and turned around in my chair. "calum, tell me."
"you're wearing make up." i giggled, seeing his make up artist chuckle to herself.
he scoffed. "and looks who's face looks better."
i gapsed, trying my best to act offened as his asisstant slapped a hand over her mouth to sniffle a snort. "my face is perfect thank you very much."
this time ashton gasped, standing up and walking over to me. he placed a hand over my shoulder, voice serious as he spoke. "honey, you know you promised to never lie to each other or ourselves."
i shoved ashton's hand off and pushed him away. "i hate you."
"you wish you did sweetheart." ashton grinned before heading back over to his make up artist.

"tomorrow at five yeah? we'll all meet up?" todd, one of the camera man asked. "promise." ashton wrapped an arm around my shoulder and led us out. i tensed once we reached the top steps, seeing a bunch of photographers outside waiting.
"we're not going that way babe." ashton chuckled, rubbing my shoulder to help me relax. instead we went through a back door and started the journey back to our apartment building. it was only a short walk, a couple girls recongnizing ashton and i frowned as he took photos with them all.
he even kissed their cheeks.
"daddy!" michael shouted, running over to me once i opened the front door. i rolled my eyes and let him pull me into a hug. "out, where's luke?"
"he's at the school." michael pouted and pulled away. "i was just grabbing some marshmallows." he held up the small bag in his hand.
