luke's pov

a giggle escaped charlie's lips as he pressed my phone to his ear. i raised an eyebrow at him and he looked at me before running off into the bathroom. i narrowed my eyes a the door, not wanting to be a bad parent but curiousity got the best of me as i got up and pressed my ear to do the door.

"t-tommorow? i can ask, mhm, bye adri." i backed away from the door a little as the handle turned and charlie stepped out. "who's adri?"

"a-adrian." he stuttered and i knew he regretted it. "he's harry's cousin."

i already knew who it was but it's my job to embaress my kid about his crush.

"do you like this adrian?" i raised an eyebrow and he cheeks flushed. "yes."

i started jumping around, clapping my hands as i cheered. "my baby has a crush!"

he mumbled something under his breath before looking at me. "don't tell dad!"

"i am your dad." i smiled, walking off and he groaned. "you know what i meant!"

ashton's pov

i licked over my lips as i stared at the boy in front of me. "how did i get so lucky?"

calum rolled his eyes as he lifted his shirt above his head. "you make me sound rare, you can easily find another me."

i brought my own shirt over my head before crawling over him, settling between his legs as i rested my head on his chest. "don't say that."

"it's just the truth, it hurts doesn't it?" he laughed and i clamped a hand over his mouth. he licked my palm but i shrugged and kept my hand where it was. "that won't work on me you of all people should know."

"it was worth a try." he spoke, the words coming out muffled. i pressed a kiss to his chest before working my way down, my hand still over his mouth. i slipped my hand underneath his basketball shorts and palmed him through his boxers, hearing his moans muffled by my hand. "i can still hear you even with my hand over your mouth. you really are loud." i teased and he bucked his hips up into my hand. "o-only loud for daddy."

"daddy?"

both my hands moved away calum's cheeks flushed as we both stared at michael leaning against the doorframe. "and you say luke and i are gross."

"that's because you are." i huffed and got off the bed. i threw my shirt back and calum timidly did the same before getting up. "what do you want?"

"well, i brought your kid home."

i glanced at the clock, seeing it was three fifteen. we really do lose track of time. michael smirked as i left the room and shut the door behind me. i glanced around the living room when not seeing april, checking her bedroom and finding her laying down on her bed staring at the ceiling. "something wrong?"

"i hate school."

"you say that everyday."

"and i mean it." he turned on her side and face away from me. i closed the door gently behind me, seeing her tense and i put it at a crack. i sat down at the edge of her bed and spoke quietly. "did something happen today?"

"i lost all my friends." she mumbled. "they called me weird and that they only came over because they forced themselves to."

she switched sides and i watched as she starting to play with the comforter. "am i weird?"

"of course not, outgoing yes." i teased and she smiled a little before it fell. "dad says that being weird is what makes me different, but i want to be normal."

"what's wrong with being different?"

"people don't like different."

"well i like different." i leaned back at my arms and she looked at me. "that's one person."

"and your dad, luke, michael, charlie, harry, louis,-" she stopped me and giggled a little. "okay i see your point."

"being normal sucks, just remember that." i reminded her and she looked at me confused. "why?"

"because then you're just like everyone else, and everyone else is not who you are." i tried to explain as simple as i could but how can you explain this to an almost eight year old?

which reminded me, her birthday was coming again. i kissed april on the forehead with a smile. "don't try so hard to be like everyone else when you could be yourself, okay?"

she nodded and smiled. "thank you daddy."

my heart fluttered as i left the room and went back to calum, seeing him and michael laughing. "what's so funny?"

"calum tried to tell me you used to be a stripper." he laughed harder and i raised an eyebrow. "probably because i was?"

his laughter stopped and he stared at me. "wait are you serious?"

i nodded. "forgot to tell you, sorry."

"what else do i not know about you?" he whined. "i went to your wedding!"

"well i'm a playboy model." i shrugged as i walked over and pulled calum away from michael. his head snapped up. "no you're not, stripper yes but playboy model?"

i nodded my head without a care. "oh and by the way they're doing a fall shoot, niall wants you to come." i pressed a kiss to calum's cheek as he grinned. michaal looked at both of us and shook his head. "why have i never asked this before? 'oh hey ashton what's your job'?" he mimicked and ashton laughed. "a playboy model, it's not that big of a deal."

"it is!" he took out his phone and texted luke. "luke knows now."

michael's phone started to ring before i could reply and he pressed it to his ear. luke's voice was shouting at him through the phone and michael threw his hands up. "that's what i said!"

i pulled calum closer to me and kissed the top of his head, watching april come into the room and climb on the bed. she sat on calum's lap and hummed. "april what do you want for your birthday?"

calum tensed and i knew he forgot again. "i don't know."

calum looked back at me and mouthed, "i know what she wants."

i nodded and kept quiet. it was the middle of july, april's birthday was august second and michael and luke's wedding might be in december. my photoshoot was some time towards the end of august and i tugged my bottom lip between my teeth.

i had a lot cut out for me.
