you guys wanted this so bad, so here you go
1996-2016 has been unpublished,
and this is now an ongoing series again
if you dont remember the last couple things that happened don't worry because i had to go back and read through a couple chapters but they did still divorce, and its just going on from there. i can't write this book in a sequel or under another title because it's one of a kind and no matter what i do i've always come back to it. none of the endings to this ever happened and i know it'll probably be hard to erase but lol have fun

i sat down on the couch and stared blankly at the tv, april in her bedroom with the door shut. "can you please just come out?"
"no! you ruined everything!" she shouted back at me and i tugged my knees to my chest. i didn't mean to, but that was clearly just a thought. i pulled my knees up to my chest and sighed, what did i do?
i perked up at the sound of the door opening, seeing april shyly walk out with her arms crossed. she tried to look mad but i couldn't help but chuckle to myself a little. "go talk to him."
"i'm not doing that april."
"then i will."
"you're too young-"
"you're to the baby here." she huffed and i narrowed my eyes at her. "excuse me? you don't get to make the decisions around here."
she took a step forward, hesitant with her moves but kept going and i got up once she walked past the couch and towards the front door. i watched as she unlocked the front door and looked back at me before making a run for it. i quickly ran after her, hearing her footsteps go up the ten steps that were going to step on me. "april get back here!"
"you took my dad away!"
"he isn't your-"
"i don't care!"
she ran down the hall and slide a little before angrily knocking on ashton's door. before i could get to her the door open and ashton peeked his head out, staring at me and then down to april. "please come back."
he licked over his bottom lip, stepping out a little more and smiling slightly. "your dad wouldn't like that."
"you mean your husband! stop calling him my dad!" she sniffled, getting ready to cry. "i mean he is my dad but he's your husband and you're also my d- other dad and i don't want you to not love each other." ashton sat down and april hugged him, despite still being a little taller than him ashton still hugged her back and ashton turned his head into her chest to look at me.
i swallowed thickly, seeing him stare blankly at me before pulling away from april. "i don't want to force myself onto him april, if he doesn't love me then i can't help that and neither can you."
"you do love each other, and i'm going to prove it." she shook her head and walked back to me. i felt her small hands push onto the small of my back and shove me forward. at least as far as she could handle. "i want to stay at muke's house."
"i-i'll tell them then." i slowly got out my phone, ashton watching my every move. i quickly sent a text to michael telling him what i could and pressed send. "we can go home now."
april grabbed my hand and i walked with her, ashton and i staring at each other before i was dragged down the stairs and back to the apartment. april opened the door and tugged me inside before letting go of my hand and going towards her room. i assumed she was getting clothes and i reached for my phone as soon as it vibrated into my pocket.
michael:
i'm on my way
april came out, i could see the pile of clothes on my bed but she made her way towards my room and i went into hers and started to fold her clothes a little better. i grabbed a few other items i knew she was missing and went to the bathroom to get other essentials. when i came back she was putting the clothes into my backpack she had probably emptied all over my floor.
"how long do you plan on staying? we both know you cant stand michael for too long, he'll find a way to annoy you." i laughed a little and i saw her smile but she quickly dropped it to act serious. i handed her her toothbrush and she took it from me and shoved it into the backpack. "we both know you'll come crying back to me to come get me." she giggled and i grinned and picked her up when she wouldn't look at me. she fell into a pit of laughter as i pulled her close. "i can't promise you things are going to get fixed in two hours, which is the amount of time i'm going to come back and get you."
i set her down on the bed and sat down on the floor. "you can promise me you'll try though right?"
i shrugged my shoulders and she whined. "try!"
"okay i will!"
"promise?"
"i can't keep it."
"why not?!"
"because i don't love him like i did."
"but you did, and when theres something in the past there's always a way to bring it to the present. even if it's small." she smiled hopefully and i looked at her confused. "who taught you that?"
"you and dad did."
