"uhm, ashton?" i tapped his shoulder and he froze. "who's the really cute guy running over to us right now?"

"he's my-" ashton cut himself off and smiled as the man stepped in front of us with a wide grin. "didn't think i'd run into you."

"you too." ashton chuckled nervously and i got off his back. he glanced at me before looking back the man.

"this is my boss, dave."

"and you're- ?" he looked at me for an answer and i put a smile on my face.

"calum."

i looked down at april seeing she was tugging at my sleeve, pointing to dave and i held a finger up making her wait. michael and luke awkwardly glanced around. "is there something you need?" ashton pratically glared at him.

"just your answer, i'm sure you've thought about it a little bit today right?" dave grinned and i poked ashton's shoulder. "what answer?"

"on a photoshoot." ashton poked me back and i nodded. he looked back over to dave. "i'll tell if you i want to do it or not. it's been nice seeing you."

"you too." he waved at us, giving ashton a thumbs up before leaving.

"your boss is cute." michael commented and luke smacked his arm. i laughed and ashton seemed to relax. he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we continued our walk. april was taking photos on my camera, and before you say it's a bad idea she's quite good at it.

sometimes i think she'll grow up to be a photographer but then i realize she's only seven. i sighed, leaning into ashton's side and he smiled and kissed the top of my head.

when it finally started to get dark we made our way back to the train station, april sitting on my lap as we rode our way back. michael was sleeping, one earphone hanging out while luke looked through his songs.

"i think april might pass with straight a's this year." luke looked up at me and grinned. my eyes widened. "really?"

"she's pretty much good at everything for a seven year old." the blonde chuckled and put michael's iphone in his lap.

i looked down at april who wasn't paying attention, instead looking outside the window. i ran my fingers through her hair making her look back at me and smile. "yes?"

"nothing." i pressed a small kiss to her forehead and she looked back out the window. luke was smiling at me cheekily. "what?"

"she's adorable."

"you think she'll get together with charlie?" i raised an eyebrow and luke looked down and blushed. "i think so."

my eyebrows furrowed together. "that's mean you-"

luke nodded.  "we found his papers and the court case is next week."

ashton threw his leg over my thighs, pulling me closer to him. "you're so warm."

"kinky." i murmed, my eyes still closed.

april was laying beside us, taking over half the covers. "when are you going to give her your present?"

"when we get home." i mumbled, slightly rubbing my bum over ashton's crotch and he tightened his grip on me. "i'm serious."

"when i had it done i had it sent back to the house." i rolled my eyes and ashton kissed the back of my neck.

we laid quietly, april shifting around now and then. the only sounds that were heard were soft snores and light breathing. my thumb brushed over the top of ashton's hands lightly and he quickly snatched my hand and intertwined our fingers. "i love you."

"i love you too."

ashton played with my hair, running his long fingers through it and my eyes fluttered closed. "why are you so good at this?"

"good at what?" ashton smirked and tugged at my hair lightly making me moan quietly.

i smacked his hand away motioning april and he smiled. i poked at his cheeks, stopping and cupping one of them lightly. his stubble felt new against my palm and i rubbed my thumb over his cheek. ashton stayed quiet, relaxing into my touch and i brushed a piece of hair out of his face and tucked it behind his ear.

my breathing slowed and ashton started to loosen his grip around me. he let out a loud sigh, eyes still closed as he started to drift off.

i stayed awake, staring the beautiful boy in front of me. i looked over my shoulder to see april had turned to face us, her eyes were open as she stared at me. "what are you doing?"

"nothing sweetheart," i spoke softly. "why are you awake?"

"i had a dream." she sat up and crawled over to me. i turned my attention away from ashton, seeing him tense once i removed my hand but dropped it once april sat down in my lap. her back laid against my chest and i sighed and kissed the top of her head. "what did you dream about?"

"everyone." she mumbled, already starting to fall back asleep.

"what happened?"

"i don't remember." she yawned and i chuckled lightly. "maybe you'll remember it in the morning princess, go back to sleep."

once april nodded, she crawled out of my lap and back to her side of the bed, snuggling against the pillow and drifitng off again. i looked back at ashton, laying back down on my side once again. i placed my hand back on his cheek, lightly brushing my thumb over his stubble again and he relaxed again.

i didn't know why i had the affect but he stirred a little and my movements stopped.

ashton's eyebrows were furrowed together, gripping at his pillow tightly but i didn't move my hand. his feet lightly kicked under the covers and i watched, his bottom lip starting to tremble. "i'm so sorry calum."

i stayed quiet.

"please don't go." he whimpered softly. "they always go once they're done."

"i'm not going anywhere." i said softly and sweat was starting to form on his forehead. tears where pouring down his cheeks and he shook his head before his eyes opened widely.

our eyes locked and i moved my hand, opening my arms and ashton scooted into them. ashton buried his face in my chest, hot tears pouring down his cheeks. "i-i thought you left."

"why would you think that?" i asked gently.

"i- i don't know." ashton pushed away from me and turned to his other side so his back was to me. i frowned but let it go. "goodnight, ashton."

"night, calum."

and that was it.

there was no baby, no princess, just calum.

i looked down at the comforter, threading it through my fingers. my thoughts drifted around, always ending up at ashton. the boy we met earlier, the sudden disappearences, everything ashton. i watched as she shifted in his spot, a sign of discomfort.

his shoulder jolted forward a bit, like someone had touched him yet my hands still laid by my sides. everything he did was like someone was touching him. ashton moved again, this time bringing his legs up to his chest tightly. i looked down at the end of the bed. nothing.

all there was was nothing yet ashton had hands all over him, the way he tugged his shirt down sometimes and i reached my hand out but slowly put it back down once he curled himself into a ball.

"please just get off me."
