"so how was you date mr. i-use-people's-daughters-to-get-laid." i smirked, seeing michael all giggly as he entered the apartment. i opened my arms for michael to climb into, his head on my chest as i played with his hair.

"it was amazing." michael mumbled, sinking into my touch. "he's so nice and beautiful and those legs, don't even get me started."

i chuckled. "legs? is that the new kink?"

michael only nodded and i let out a low laugh, knowing april was still asleep. michael had gotten home around midnight and to say he was exhausted was an understatement. "what are you still doing up?" michael looked up at me for an answer, knowing what i do when i lie.

"i wanted to know how your date went, i couldn't miss out on finding out you had a leg kink." i grinned, seeing michael narrow his eyes at me through the dark. "they were nice okay?"

"okay michael, they were just 'nice'."

"they were!"

"you wake up my six year old and i'll kill you." i warned, seeing michael put his head back down on my chest. i wrapped my arms around him tightly before falling into darkness.

"how was your day my princess?" i smiled, lifting april up into the air and swinging her around. i was late picking her up today, but luke didn't mind her staying. "and are you sure you aren't mad? i mean i was an hour late and she can be a monster sometimes."

luke chuckled fondly, putting the rest of the crayons away and stacking the boxes neatly. "it wasn't a problem, we just had a small talk about your friend."

"michael? didn't you guys go on a date yesterday?" i asked curiously, bending over slightly so april could get on my back. her legs wrapped around my waist tightly as i stood up straight again.

"we did, he was. . .nice." luke smiled, and i already knew he wanted to say something else.

"well i'm glad it went well, i need to take april home so i'll see you tomorrow." i smiled, waving goodbye to luke and leaving the classroom. april clutched my hand as we walked down the empty hallways and to the back doors. "are you hungry?" i asked as we walking down the steps from the school.

april nodded and we both decided on mcdonalds. after ordering an m&m mcflurry and twenty piece chicken nuggets, i picked a seat in the back of the restaurant.

"slow down princess." i warned, taking the chicken nugget from april's hands. she was already chewing one and was about to put a second in. she pouted as i brought the chicken nugget up to my lips and took a bite out of it. i pointed behind her and she swallowed and turned around.

i quickly put four chicken nuggets in front of her and watched as her face lit up when she turned back around. "best daddy." april mumbled, stuffing another chicken nugget in her mouth. i took a sip of the mcflurry and sat in a comfortabel silence until we finished.

"why are you still here?" i muttered under my breath as i saw michael passed out on the couch. but that wasn't until i saw who was under him.

"lukey!" april squealed, letting go of my hand and running over to the two. michael's eyes blinked opened and widened at april jumping on his back. luke must have felt it too because he lifted his head up and looked at me.

i simply raised an eyebrow at him.

"i should get going then yeah?" luke spoke up and michael got off him. april awkwardly ran over to me as luke got up from the couch. he quickly dusted himself off and reached for his backpack by the couch before april stopped him.
