ashton's pov
april sat on the floor, presents surrounding her as she picked up a blue one.
she shook it around before tearing off the wrapping paper, dropping the box as she squealed. my mouth hung open and i looked at michael. "so you'll a seven year old concert tickets to panic! but you won't buy me any?"
he shrugged.
april got up and hugged michael tightly, turning around to face me. "i'll take you."
everyone laughed before she let go of michael and sat back down on the floor, picking up a bright pink one and shredding the paper off.
i felt calum's eyes on me as april hugged the white lace dress to her body, the material looking more than just expensive because it was. she went back to the box, seeing my name and quickly jumped into my arms, letting the dress fall to the floor. " i love you so much."
"love you too baby girl, you got two more to go."
"actually one. i'm giving mine to her later today." calum bit his bottom lip and she picked up the baby blue present from luke. "mine was planned with ashton."
i shared a smirk with him and april pulled out a daisy flower crown.
"let me put it on." luke motioned for her to come over and she did, letting him place the crown on top of her head. she looked up and tried to get a peek at it and i quickly snapped a photo with my phone.
we spent the next few hours talking while april tried on everything. calum sat on my lap, my arms wrapped around him tightly.
"do we know what we're going to do today?" i asked, kissing at calum's shoulder.
"we could go to miami?"
i tensed.
"that sounds like a good idea."
"i'll be right back." i shifted out from under the tan boy, kissing his cheek quickly and leaving the room.
my breathing quickened as i furiously typed on my phone, pressing it up to my ear and closing my eyes.
"are you finally going to take my offer?" my bosses's voice rung through my ear.
"n-no. are you in miami?"
"as of yesterday i am now, why? you here?"
"uh- yeah, it's my boyfriend's daughter's birthday." i chewed my bottom lip. "i wanted to know how much i was getting paid again."
"that's what i want to hear kid. four point one million."
my eyes widened. "a-are you serious?"
"you're the top one we have."
i looked back at the hotel door, hearing laughter on the other side. "give me a few more days."
"you have till tomorrow."
and with that the line went dead.
i put my phone back in my pocket and stepped back into the room where everyone was waiting for me. "where did you go?"
"just had to make a call." i sat back in my spot and calum crawled back into my lap. "so we're going to miami today?"
"think so." michael looked to luke who nodded.
i kissed at calum's neck gently and buried my face in his shoulder. "we should leave now then, you can catch a train there."
once we all agreed we packed a small bag and took a taxi to the nearest train station. after buying the tickets we found our platform, huddling in the corner to keep out of people's way. april clung to my side as another train sped past us.
"how many more to go?" i looked down at her and held up three fingers.
after the last two sped by, the third one finally came and april was practically dragging me by the arm. "come on! you're so slow!"
michael turned to me, holding a finger up to his lips as he walked up behind april and snatched her into his arms. he pressed quickly kisses all over her face making her laugh before he carried her onto the train and i followed, taking a seat across from the two.
"have you ever been to miami?" michael asked curiously and i shook my head yes.
"sometimes i forget why i left."
the pale boy left. "if you stayed you wouldn't have met calum, and his little little cutie." he nudged april playfully and i laughed. "i guess you're right."

"michael i swear to god!" luke screeched as michael picked him up and dropped him back into the water. the blonde's head popped back up a few seconds later and he quickly tackled michael making them both go back under.
april was trying to bury my feet but i shifted everytime she would look away. "i saw you!"
"saw me do what?" i smiled innocently and april huffed. "can we go on the board walk?"
i looked over at michael and luke, seeing they were getting out of the water and nodded. we packed up everything, april climbing over calum till he woke up and we headed out. everyone was having their own conversation till april screamed. "icecream!"
"didn't you just eat?" she shrugged and ran over to the cart. her hands where behind her back, rocking on her heels and the man awed and gave her a vanilla cone. she thanked him, not even having to pay and skipped back over to us. "want some?"
"we'll talk about that when we get home." i shook my head chuckling and she smiled.
"i want some." michael quickly leaned down and opened his mouth, only to get icecream smeared across his face. luke laughed, grabbing michael's chin and licking a long stripe up his cheek before swallowing. "god you taste so good."
"hey you know i think there's a bunch of people over there why don't you go fuck for them?" calum rolled his eyes, still a little cranky from just waking up.
i smacked his arm. "don't swear."
"i'll do whatever i want." he huffed and i pecked his lips earning a small smile from him. we walked around for another hour, buying luke new sunglasses since april stole his and calum was now on my back. "should we start heading home?"
"yea-"
"ashton! haven't seen you in ages man!"
