"thank you." i smiled, taking the warm cup of tea from sophie's hands. i set it down on the small wooden side table and leaned back into the couch more. "so she's got a crush?"

"on charlie." i giggled. "the boy is as straight as a circle though."

"how do you know?" she smacked my arm and i put my hands in the air in defense. "what are you a gay detector?"

"actually luke is, we went out to dinner a couple weeks ago and their was a boy at the table across from us. it was adorable.

"not to mention michael's phone goes missing somewhere in the night and he finds it in charlie's room with harry's number. it's obvious who he was talking to."

"wow," sophie took a sip from her own cup. "that's impressive."

i smiled. "i know."

"you want to have a what?" april had her hands clasped behind her back, eyes pleading at me.

"a sleepover! it's just a few girls from school."

i sighed, rubbing my face tiredly. "ask ashton."

april walked around to the other side of my bed, poking at the sleeping ashton who stirred slightly. april continued to poke the poor boy till he finally cracked an eye open. "yes?"

"can i have a sleepover?"

"ask calum."

"he told me to ask you."

ashton moved onto his back, turning his head to look at me and i smiled, motioning for him to answer. he looked back at april, seeing the desperate state she was in before sighing. "fi-"

"yes! thank you thank you thank you!" she cut him off, jumping on top of the bed and hugging ashton's bare back tightly. i laughed lightly. "sweetheart get back to bed, he has to be up early tomorrow."

she mumbled a small okay, climbing over ashton completely and kissing my cheek before hopping off the bed. "goodnight." ashton spoke half asleep as april shut the bedroom door again.

"not yet." i moved so i straddled ashton's bum, grinding down slowly. "i can't sleep."

"take some advil."

i huffed, stopping my movements and leaning down so i spoke into ashton's ear. "or you could tire me out?"

ashton mumbled something into the pillow before flipping us over so my back was to the mattress. "what do you say?"

"please?" i bit my bottom lip as he crawled in between my legs. "will you fuck me daddy?"

"another time." ashton pressed small kisses to my chest, stopping at my belly button and going back up. "i have something else in mind."

before i could ask what it was, ashton pressed all his weight onto me, snuggling into my chest as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "goodnight baby boy."

"you're joking right?" i looked down at him, moving my hand inbetween us to palm him but he grabbed my hand and held it above my head. i groaned, trying to wiggle out of his grip. "ashton this isn't funny get off me!"

i felt him smile against my skin and he let out a loud snore. "ashton!"

"yes?" he shifted, propping his elbows up on either side of me while his chin rested on both of his palms. "is something wrong?"

"very." i huffed, sitting up and ashton let me.

i rubbed at my eyes, a yawn escaping my lips. "i'm tired."

"then go to sleep." ashton rolled his eyes and i shook my head. "too much going on."

the older boy nodded, crawling into my lap and cupping my cheeks. i closed my eyes at the feeling of his lips being pressed to my forehead gently. "tell me what's wrong."

"i don't know where to end." i spoke quietly, eyes still closed as ashton pressed his lips against my nose, moving down to my jaw. "what happens when april is done with school?"

"she goes to college."

"and then?"

"she lives a life, calum." ashton pressed a small kiss to my lips.

"are we ever going to get married?" i asked, ashton pausing his movements. it was silent for a while and i waited, letting him think about it. "do you want to?"

"it'd be nice." i mumbled and ashton lifted my chin up, planting a long lingering kiss on to them. "then i guess we'll get married."

i giggled. "you don't have a ring."

"i don't?" ashton smirked before crawling off my lap, leaving the bedroom. i heard the front door open and close so i now sat in silence. he came back fifteen minutes later, turning on the light. "stand up."

i did as told, getting off the bed as ashton walked over to me. my eyes widened as he slowly got down on one knee, moving his hands out in front of them but they were cupped on to of each other to make the box.

"i know this isn't the most professional." ashton chuckled, clearing his throat to act serious again. "and i may not have a speech planned but i promise you that i'll win you over in under two seconds."

i looked at him confused before he opened his hands as you would open a box, seeing the red life saver in the palm of his hand. "calum hood, will you do the honor of marrying me?"

i placed a hand over my heart, faking a few tears before nodding my head eagerly. i held out my hand and ashton smiled as he slided the red life saver onto my ring finger. i looked at it, holding it up to my lips and biting in to it making ashton slap my hand away. "what are you doing!"

"eating it, it's what you're supposed to do right?" i brought my hand back up to my mouth and bit off the whole thing making ashton pout. i pouted back making him crack a smile. "i'll propose for real next time just so you know."

"i'll be waiting." i sassed back but ashton tackled me on to the bed, eagerly connecting our lips. "you taste really good."

"just wait till i eat skittles." i pecked his lips and ashton titled his head to the side. "why?"

"because then you'll taste the rainbow."
