67. Waltz

The dance floor was ours as the music played , she looked beautiful as ever in her black dress that seemed to sparkle with pink starlight

Amazing enough as it complimented her eyes , I always couldn't seem to get enough of.

I walked up to her , my heart a mess but face a mask of cold emotion as I said stretching my hands forward

"would you perhaps grace me with a dance , Avra~"

She giggled and her eyes sparkled more and said

"Yes it would be my pleasure Will~"

I shivered as she took my hands and lead her to the middle of the floor,

We moved gracefully almost like we had practiced a million times , i sneaked glances around and could see almost everybody had stopped in a trance looking at us

I looked at her to see her staring at me with an amused smile that made her even more beautiful

As we waltzed amongst the stars, I leaned forward and kissed her , lips sweet as sugar and with candied words, I whisper

"I wish I'd known you from the start"

At first, she only smiled before burrowing her way into the refuge that is my chest and loud enough as she wanted my heart to hear her say,

"somehow i've known you all along"

"somehow i've just known you like i've just known how to breathe"

"or feed"

"or feel"

"somehow whatever's eternal in me knows whatever's eternal in you"

She looks up at me as I stare at her in a trance seemingly replaying the words she said over and over

I smile and open my mouth as if to speak but close it a second later when I see the understanding in her eyes

Our dance came to an end as deafening applause rocks the ballroom

I look at her one last time coming to a decision as we walk off.
