Sam didn't know the first thing about soccer, really, so for something she rarely thought about to ruin her life was so painfully unlucky and borderline impossible that she couldn't believe it. She was only considered part of the team because she helped organize their events and actually wrote strategy for Coach Martinez after he saw her notebook of scribbles that showed a very strange, almost symbolic version of their offensive and defensive plays. Outside of that, Sam didn't do much; she rarely went to sporting events, and almost never spoke in class, yet that made no difference to the fact that she was nearly always chosen to be the president of a club she didn't even know she joined, or was called up to ask for advice for situations she'd never experienced.
