You and the squad are on Ord Mantel eating dinner. Tech is on his datapad. Omega watches him.
"Y/N. I have found some information on your mother." Tech states.
"Really?" You reply eagerly.
"There is not much. It says here that she was a Jedi who was trained by (favorite Jedi). The most recent edit to her file was made many rotations ago. It says she was investigating the Jedi temples on Coruscant." Tech tells you.
Hunter walks over to Tech and reads the file.
"That was a few days after she left..." Hunter says.
"Let's go to Coruscant!" You say to the squad.
"We still need more credits." Echo says.
"I'll talk to Cid to see if we can get a job." Hunter says, standing up. He walks to Cid's office.
"I can't wait to go to Coruscant!" Omega says. After talking with Cid, Hunter walks over to all of you.
"Our job is to find an artifact." Hunter says.
"Interesting. Which particular artifact?" Tech asks.
"Something that belongs to Cid, apparently." Hunter replies.
"Are we sure it belongs to Cid?" Wrecker asks.
"It'll get us credits." Hunter says.
You all head to the Marauder. The trip to the outpost is long. To pass the time, you find Tech. He is playing Dejarik against himself.
"Can I play with you?" You ask him.
"Sure. I will not go easy on you, though." He replies.
You smile. "We'll see who wins. I've been practicing."
You go first. You move a piece forward. After you, Tech does the same, moving his piece diagonally. Both of you take a few more turns. He moves his piece and it the hologram displays one of your pieces getting knocked over. You look at him and smile.
"Wrong move." You say. You move your piece and knock over one of his back pieces. He looks surprised.
"I am impressed." He says.
You continue to play Dejarik with him. It's the last few turns. You only have a few pieces left. You examine the board. He could easily win if you moved your piece to the right. You move it to the left. Tech makes one of his pieces follow yours. It's your turn again. You move your piece to the back and knock over one of his pieces. Tech looks at the board. He knocks over one of your two pieces left. You're able to knock down his last piece. His mouth is open and he looks shocked.
"Good job. You won." Tech says.
"I told you I've been practicing." You say, laughing. You finally land on the outpost. Everyone puts their gear on. You don't have a helmet like the clones do, but you have a holster for your stun gun. You and Omega follow the rest of the squad.
"Remember, this is a stealth mission." Hunter says to all of you. Wrecker groans.
You walk to the side of the outpost. You peak inside one of the windows.
"There are Imperial guards here!" You whisper anxiously.
Hunter sighs. "Fine. Forget the stealth mission."
"Yeah!" Wrecker says.
Echo hacks into the system. Wrecker grabs one of the guards and knocks him on the head. You stun one of the guards. All of you continue through the outpost. You're almost to the storage room. You see five armed guards. They see all of you and run over to you. Two of them grab you and Omega. The hold their weapons to you both.
"Don't move! Drop your weapons." The guard holding Omega says.
You watch Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo set all their weapons down and hold their hands up.
"Let them go." Hunter says calmly.
You whimper as one of the guards pushes the gun closer to you.
You see Hunter nod to Echo subtlety.
"Uhh... take me instead!" Wrecker says. The guards hold you both tighter.
Echo slowly bends down to reach his blaster.
"How's the weather been? We... love it here!" Wrecker awkwardly says, trying to distract the guards.
"Stop it!" The guard holding you says.
You watch as Echo quickly gets his blaster and blasts both guards. They both drop to the ground. You run to him and hug him.
"Thank you Echo!" You and Omega say in unison.
"It was nothing." Echo says, smiling slightly. After an eventful... "interaction" with the guards, you and the squad reach the supply room.
"Which crate is it?" Omega asks. Tech scans the room.
"That one." Tech replies, pointing to a crate in the right corner of the room. You and Omega run over to it. It's impossible to lift the top off of it. Wrecker walks over. He cracks his knuckles and lifts it off, throwing it to the side.
"There are still guards here, Wrecker." Echo says.
"Lighten up, Echo. We're fine!" Wrecker says.
You and Omega search through the crate. Omega pulls out a rusty gold medallion.
"This doesn't look like something Cid would own." Omega says.
"It'll get us credits." You say shrugging.
You keep searching through the bin. You find some sort of Imperial helmet. It looks similar to Hunter's helmet, but with new modifications. You inspect it and look up to Hunter.
"Can I keep it?" You ask.
"Sure. You can paint it later." Hunter says.
You try on the helmet. It's too big.
Tech walks to you and looks at the helmet.
"I can modify this helmet to fit your head." Tech says.
You feel like an important part of the squad with your new helmet on.You follow Hunter and everyone else to the Marauder. You follow Tech into his room.
"Hand me the helmet." Tech says. You give it to him.
He puts on his helmet again and looks at the inside of the helmet.
"It looks like the Empire has been creating new armor. It has a new communication system and an interesting program." He says.
Tech takes out a tape measure. He leans down to reach you and measures your head.
"This should not be a problem to modify this helmet. I should be done in a few hours." Tech says. You find Hunter in the cockpit of the ship.
"Hey, kid." He greets you. You sit next to him.
"I hope that wasn't too scary earlier when the guards got a hold of you and Omega." He continues.
"I tried to stay calm like you... but I couldn't." You say quietly, looking at the floor.
Hunter puts a hand on your shoulder.
"Hey. Look at me." He says. You look at him.
"You did good, Y/N. You were brave." Hunter says.
"Omega was a lot calmer than me. She didn't seem scared when the guard was holding her." You say.
"Some people show their emotions in different ways. Some people show it on the outside, and some people just keep it inside. It's perfectly fine either way." He replies.
"Is it just a clone trait you all have? All of you are completely calm during those situations while I'm just scared." You sigh.
"It's okay to be vulnerable, Y/N. I promise. You're just as good as the rest of us." Hunter reassures you. You nod. You close your eyes. Your mind is racing. After thinking about the events of today, you eventually fall asleep."Y/N." Tech says.
You open your eyes.
"I have finished the modifications." He continues.
You eagerly sit up and run to his room. You try on the helmet.
"It fits!" You say. You look around the room.
"I also altered the programming slightly. Press the button on the side." Tech tells you.
You press the button. It's a thermal sensor. Everything is a dark blue. You look at Tech and see his body heat.
"Why are your hands blue?" You say, laughing.
"I guess I have cold hands." He responds.
You walk around and look at everyone. Their figures glow bright orange and red. You laugh.
"Now, this is used to see guards in the dark on missions as well as thermal detonators." Tech says.
"Let's go paint it!" You say.
"Can I help?" Omega asks.
"Uh, sure." You say. Maybe it would be good to get to know her.You both run to Tech's room. Tech chases after you. You and Omega search for the paints. Ever since Crosshair left, the squad has changed their armor to orange and blue.
"Be careful with my parts." Tech says.
"We will..." You and Omega say together.
You think for a minute.
"What are you thinking for the design?" Omega asks.
"I want to make it look like Dad's. I also want to put a lightsaber on it so I can show it to my mom!" You say.
"That's amazing!" Omega says.
You copy the main design of Hunter's helmet with orange. On the front, you paint a blue lightsaber. After a while of painting, you're finally finished.
"Try it on!" Omega says.
You put the helmet on and walk outside. Everyone looks at your freshly painted helmet.
"You... make it look like my helmet." Hunter says.
"Is that bad?" You say.
"No. I like it." He says.
"What's that?" Wrecker says, pointing to where you painted the lightsaber.
"It's a lightsaber. For Mom." You say.
Echo looks at you. He laughs softly.
"What?" You ask.
"Nothing. It just reminds me of when Rex painted his helmet orange for a Jedi." Echo says.
"I can't wait to use it! I feel like one of you." You say.
"You both belong here. I mean it." Hunter says.
Tech walks into his room.
"Y/N, where is my wrench?" Tech asks.
You and Omega giggle.
"Y/N... What did you two do?" Hunter asks suspiciously.
"Uh, we have to go... check on something!" Omega says. You both laugh as you run to her room.**I will draw the helmet design soon! I'll post it later :)**
