Hunter sees you and Omega get on the ship. You see him notice Omega's worried look on her face.
"Omega? What's wrong?" He says.
Omega looks up at him. "That... That scientist... She told me she's my sister."
Tech looks up from his datapad. "She looked much older than you. That wouldn't make sense, though. You're older than all of us."
"I heard it too." You add. "That was all she said. She didn't try and come after us."
Hunter closes his eyes and sighs. "We'll get it figured out, okay?"
Omega nods.
You look over at Crosshair. He's still quite sleepy since he was under some sort of medicine for a while. Dara sits next to him, making sure he's alright.
"Is he stable?" Hunter asks.
Tech nods. "As far as I can tell, yes. I'm not quite sure what medicine he was on. Most likely some sort of sedation medicine."
"What were they doing to all those clones?" Omega asks.
"I do not know. We were in there for such a small amount of time." Tech tells her.
You see Crosshair stumble get up and look around. "I'm... fine."
Dara holds out her arms in case he stumbles. "Be careful."
"I will." He tells her. "I've been through worse."
It's a quiet ride back to Ord Mantell. It's a little confusing.
We got Crosshair. We finished our mission. So why is everyone so quiet? Aren't they happy? You think.
You can't exactly blame everyone for being quiet and reserved. It's been a very long day. You figure that you should check on Omega. She sits next to Crosshair in his room where he is currently sleeping.
"Are you alright?" You ask her.
She sits on the ground with her head against her legs. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just trying to figure out what all of it means."
"I bet Tech can do some research on it. She seemed like one of the higher ranking scientists, so I bet there's plenty of information on her." You say, trying to be optimistic.
Omega sighs, then looks at Crosshair. "Nala Se didn't tell me a lot about who I was. All I knew was that I was an unmodified clone, similar to Alpha. Now, we're a family. Even though Hunter calls me 'kid' and stuff, I still don't know where I fit."
You think about when Omega first joined the squad, before you found your mother. "I understand that. Honestly, when you first joined, I felt out of place. It's hard to find somewhere you fit in. I felt like you belonged with the squad more than I did because you're a clone, and I'm not."
Omega looks over at you. "I think I get that. I was really nervous because I felt like you didn't like me, and when you ran away, I thought it was my fault."
"It's not." You tell her.
Omega holds her face in her hands. "Do you think everything will work out? With Crosshair? With the Empire?"
You pause for a moment before you speak. You honestly don't know. You don't want to promise anything, but you also want to help her feel better.
"I'm not sure, Omega." You begin. "What I do know is that our family has continued to show that they care for us, and they'll do anything to protect us from the Empire. They did it when they took you in, and they've cared for me my whole life."
Omega lifts up her face. "Yeah, you're right. They really do care."
You smile at her. "You belong here, Omega. We both do, because now we're sisters. We're family."
She smiles back.
Omega gently nudges Crosshair awake as you arrive at Ord Mantell. He sits up, accidentally hitting his head on the top bunk.
"Be careful, Crosshair!" Omega says.
He rolls his eyes. "I'm fine."
Same old Crosshair... You think.
He gets up and stretches.
"Are you feeling better?" You ask.
"Yes. I am." He says, going out into the main hull of the ship.
Hunter sees you two follow Crosshair. "No mission today. We're going to lay low for a few days and make sure the Empire can't track us."
"Can we have another fun day?" Omega asks eagerly.
"Yeah, we could show him Mantell Mix!" Wrecker chimes in.
Hunter nods. "That's fine. We just don't want to stand out."
"You think we don't already?" Echo laughs.
Hunter gives Crosshair a pair of normal clothes to change into. Crosshair is currently wearing Imperial clothes, so it'll be good for him to change. He goes back into his room.
"Tech told me he's going to research Emerie Karr." Hunter tells Omega.
Omega looks up at him. "Thank you."
"Don't thank me, thank Tech." Hunter says.
You see Omega walk over to Tech and give him a hug. You see that he smiles.
He's learning to like hugs. You think.
You and Omega catch up to Wrecker.
"Come on, Crosshair!" Wrecker says.
Crosshair rolls his eyes again. "Fine..."
You, Wrecker and Omega walk over to the Mantell Mix stand.
"3 cartons of Mantell Mix, please." Wrecker tells the person at the stand.
"Are you going to pay for that this time? Or will you put it on Cid's tab?" The person at the stand says suspiciously.
"We'll pay." Wrecker says, handing over some credits.
You hand Crosshair a carton of Mantell Mix. He looks at suspiciously.
"What is this?" He asks.
"Just try it!" Omega says.
He takes a bite of it. "This is much better than the 'food' they gave me in the Empire."
"See?" Wrecker says.
You meet up with the rest of the squad after getting your snack. You all sit down at a nearby table. Tech is busy typing on his datapad.
"There isn't much on Emerie Karr from what I can see without hacking. I will continue to work on it." Tech says.
"You can take a break, Tech." Omega tells him. "We're having a fun day, remember?"
"I'm fine. I can still research." Tech says.
Echo elbows him. Tech sighs and puts down his datapad.
"Doing alright, Crosshair?" Echo asks.
Crosshair nods.
"It's good to have you back." You say.
You see Crosshair start to smile, then get embarrassed and stop.
"It's... good to be back. Or whatever." He says.
"C'mon Cross. We all saw you crying when you saw us. There's no need to hide that you like being a part of the squad." Hunter teases.
You all head back to the ship. Omega goes into her room and you see her starting to read the ship manuals. It's clearly boring her. You walk into her room.
"Want some company, sister?" You say.
"Sure. Come on over." Omega smiles.
