Bad Reputation: A Bad Batch Fanfiction Story

Note: @sinfoni0 I realized that in your request, you said that Y/N finds out that the Empire wants her for her DNA, and I completed forgot to explain why. I'll do that in the next few chapters. Also, not sure when/how I'll wrap up this story. I'd love to hear anybody's suggestions for endings (I know a good ending and a bad ending was requested) or just suggestions for chapters in general.

Tech lands the ship smoothly at the landing bay on Pabu. You and Omega run to the exit of the ship while you wait for one of the member's of the squad to open the door.
"Ready, Crosshair?" Omega asks eagerly.
Crosshair sighs. "This better be worth it."
You give him a nod of reassurance. "It will be. I promise."
Echo opens the door. You run down the steps after Omega. You look behind you as Crosshair walks down the steps. He looks around, marveling at the beauty of the planet.
"This is... incredible." Crosshair says.
"I told you that you'd like it." You smile.
Crosshair rolls his eyes. "I never said I liked it."
Echo sighs as he walks past you three. "Just as stubborn as always."
The rest of the squad exits the ship. Dara smiles at you and Omega. Her lightsaber isn't on her belt. While you know Pabu is accepting of all people, it's nice to know that you and your mother don't have to worry about your lightsabers or training. Shep Hazard, the mayor of Pabu, comes over to you all. His daughter Lyana runs over to you and Omega.
"Ah, a new face. What is your name?" He asks Crosshair.
"CT- I mean... Crosshair." Crosshair responds.
"It's good to have you here Crosshair. Are you a part of the squad?" Shep says, gesturing to the rest of you.
Crosshair smiles slightly. "Yeah. I'm part of the squad."

The adults in the squad decide to go sit down and talk with the mayor for a while. Lyana comes over to you and Omega.
"What should we do first?" She asks.
"Maybe we can go on the boat!" Omega suggests.
You want to take some photos of Pabu to show to Lucian, so you need to go ask Tech for his datapad.
"That sounds fun. I'll be right back." You say, walking towards the rest of the squad.
Dara looks over at you. "Is everything alright?"
You nod. "Yeah. Tech, can I borrow your datapad? I want to take some photos."
Tech hands it to you. "If you are going on the boat, please do not drop it in the ocean."
"I won't. I'm more responsible than you think." You say.
"I know you are. Just... be careful. I don't want anything bad happening like the time where a tsunami hit the island." Tech comments.
"I'll be careful." You reassure him.
You walk back over to Omega and Lyana.
"Why do you have Tech's datapad?" Omega asks.
"I want to take some pictures of Pabu for Lucian." You admit.
"Who's Lucian?" Lyana asks.
"You'll have to tell her about him on the boat!" Omega teases.

Lyana unties the boat from the dock and gestures for you and Omega to get on. You do so, being careful not to fall off. Lyana pushes the boat away from the dock. It's a beautiful day today, as usual. The sky is blue without any clouds.
"Do you think there will be any storms?" Omega asks nervously.
Lyana shakes her head. "No. We're safe this time. I promise."
You lay down on the boat and take a picture of the sky.
"So... tell us about Lucian." Lyana says.
You roll your eyes and laugh. "Aren't there other things to talk about?"
"Please?" Omega asks.
"Fine..." You agree. "He's a boy I've been on a few dates with."
"He's her boyfriend. They've even kiss-" Omega says.
You blush. "Omega, I'll push you into the water!"
Omega giggles. Even though you're embarrassed by it, it's fun to have people your age you can talk to about things other than the Empire.
"We should take a photo of us!" Lyana says.
You and Omega move closer to her and you get ready to take a picture.
"Smile!" You say, pressing the button to take a photo.

You, Lyana, and Omega continue to stay on the boat for a while. You look over at the island. You're pretty far away, so it looks small.
"Do you think Crosshair is liking it here?" Omega asks.
"Of course. He hasn't been somewhere like this in... well, I don't know how long." You say.
You're able to notice everything around you. The sound of the waves, the smell of the crisp ocean air, and the feeling of the boat rocking slightly.
Your comlink beeps, and you all hear Hunter's voice. "We're having dinner soon, by the way. Can you come in? You can go on the boat again after."
"We're on our way." You respond.
"I bet my dad has prepared a great dinner for us. You'll love it." Lyana smiles.
"I'm excited." Omega says. "We've been having rations for so long. I'm tired of the taste."
Lyana adjusts the boat's sails so you're headed towards the dock.

You and Omega wait for Lyana to tie the boat up. The three of you walk to the upper part of the island. Everyone smiles at you.
"Come join us for dinner." Shep says.
You take a seat next to Tech and give him his datapad.
He sets it on the table. "Good job not losing it."
You laugh. "Was there ever any doubt?"
Echo looks over at you. "Hey, that's my line."
"How are you liking Pabu, Crosshair?" You ask.
You see him smile slightly. "It's... different. In a good way."
You look over at Tech to see that's he's looking at the photos you took. He smiles when he sees the one of you, Omega, and Lyana.
"I am glad you three had fun." He says.
"The food is amazing as always!" Wrecker says happily.
Everyone continues to chat and eat dinner for a while.

Once you're done, the rest of the squad pull you and Omega aside.
"We have some good news." Echo smiles.
"What is it?" Omega asks.
"We have nearly enough credits to start a new life here." Hunter says.
You and Omega grin.
Your mood shifts once you remember: Lucian.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Dara asks.
You nod and smile. "Yeah. I'm great."
Everyone heads back to the ship for a little bit to hang out. Omega looks so excited after hearing the news. You want to be excited, but you don't know how things will end up working out with Lucian.

Once you get back to the ship, you sit in one of the cockpit chairs next to Tech.
"Is something wrong? Your mood seemed to shift quickly after we told you the news." Tech says, looking at his datapad.
You're shocked hearing this from Tech. He normally doesn't ask you about how you're feeling, or he doesn't notice.
"You're going to think it's silly." You say.
Tech looks up from his datapad. "I will not judge you."
"It's about Lucian." You sigh.
"Oh. The boy." Tech says.
You bury your face in your hands, clearly embarrassed. "Yeah... him."
"What about him?" Tech asks.
"Well, he lives on Ord Mantell. If we move here, he can't come with us. I want to be able to see him, but I'm worried I won't be able to. I'm excited for the change when we get the credits, but I'm just worried." You say sadly.
Tech hesitates for a moment. "I'm sure you'll be able to figure something out. We can go back to Ord Mantell occasionally, and maybe he could come here sometimes."
"Are you sure it'll work out?" You ask nervously.
Tech smiles. "Of course. In this squad, everything always ends up working out."
