Your eyes flutter open, and you wince as the piercing white light above you shines on your face. Your left arm hurts- you look over to see that it has an injection mark from when Hemlock injected you with that liquid. You remember struggling, but... why?

Dr. Hemlock enters the room, giving you a sardonic smile as he sees you stir. "Ah, excellent. You are awake." He glances at the screen next to you. "Your cortisol levels have decreased as well."

"What did you... inject me with?" You ask, your words slurring together.

"Only a serum which is the pinnacle of Imperial technology." Hemlock answers you casually.

You think back to when he injected you again, trying to piece all of the memories together. "I was trying to run from something... run to someone..." You look down at the armor you're wearing. You see the symbol of a skull with "99" underneath it, but you can't tell what it means.

Hemlock doesn't deny your answer, simply nodding. "You are correct. But none of that matters now, right, Soldier EX-1000?"

Before you have time to think about your answer, the words seem to automatically come out of your mouth as, "Yes, Dr. Hemlock."

Hemlock gives you a sinister smile. "Come along, now. There are tests we need to complete."

~

You follow Dr. Hemlock through the hallways of the base, the occasional officer looking at you curiously. Your mind is desperately trying to recall any old information up to this point, but it's no use. The only thing you know is that this is where you are meant to be, and your name is Soldier EX-1000.

"Through this door." Hemlock instructs, gesturing to a door on the left side of the hall.

You enter the room. It's a relatively small room with nothing inside it except for a concrete block that is taller than you.

"Destroy it."

You hold out your hand, feeling the Force flow through you. This feels familiar, like you've done it before. Something is different, though. You feel as though the energy from the Force is consuming you- there's much more of this energy than it seems you've felt before. You channel the Force from your body to the concrete block. It breaks apart nearly instantly.

"Incredible." Dr. Hemlock murmurs, taking notes on his datapad.

He opens the door of the room, inviting a nearby Imperial clone to enter the room. He stands at the end of the room, but not directly against the wall, around six feet in front of you.

"Push him." Hemlock instructs.

You hold out your hand again, feeling the Force move from your hand to the clone. He's pushed against the wall, yelling for help.

"That's enough."

You stop pushing the clone against the wall. Dr. Hemlock nods to him, telling him that he can leave. You feel like you've done something like that before, but it feels different this time. Did you feel guilty the last time you did something like this? But why would you feel guilty? You were just following an order.

Hemlock exits the room, and you follow him again.

~

As you and Dr. Hemlock walk through a different hallway, a higher ranking Imperial officer approaches the two of you.

"Sir, he's here." The officer says to Hemlock.

"We'll be right there." Hemlock tells him, resuming walking down the hall.

You follow Dr. Hemlock into a large room.

"Stay here." Hemlock tells you, exiting the room and closing the door.

You stand there, waiting in silence for a few minutes, until the door opens again. You hear a heavy, mechanical, almost labored breathing behind you. You turn around and see what you can assume to be a person wearing black armor.

"Who are you?" You ask, although you feel as though you've met this person before.

A deep voice answers your question. "I am Darth Vader."

"Why are you here?"

"To train you. Dr. Hemlock has told me that you have the potential to be a valuable asset to the Empire."

The words seem to automatically come out of your mouth again. "I will serve the Empire until I die."

"Dr. Hemlock will instruct you on what to do next. Then, he will show you to my ship."

"Understood, Lord Vader."

~

Darth Vader exits the room, and Hemlock returns a few minutes later.

"Come with me, Soldier EX-1000. It's time for me to show you your new armor."

Hemlock leads you back to the laboratory where you woke up earlier. You walk with him over to  a glass case. Inside, there is a set of all black armor. It looks brand new.

"No bullet can penetrate your new armor." Hemlock stands there for a moment, admiring the armor. Most likely, he was the one who engineered it.

"There are some new clothes for you on the table over there." Hemlock says, gesturing to the table nearby. "I'll wait outside the laboratory. Join me when you're done."

Hemlock leaves the laboratory. You put on the black clothes, and then each piece of the armor. It's heavy. You feel as though it should be impossible for you to wear such heavy armor, but you also feel incredibly strong. Stronger than before. There is also a black cloak on the table. You take it and pull it over your shoulders, fastening it so it stays on. You walk out of the laboratory and stand next to Hemlock, awaiting his instructions.

~

Dr. Hemlock silently leads you to the ship hangar. He points to the largest ship in the hangar, saying, "That one."

He stops you before you make your way to the ship.

He hands you what appears to be your lightsaber. "Take this. You'll need it."

You clip the lightsaber on to your belt and walk over to the ship. The ramp of the ship is lowered, and Darth Vader stands at the top of it. You walk up to him and follow him into the main area of the ship. He pushes a button to close the ramp and walks over to the cockpit where some Imperial officers are preparing the route to the location where Darth Vader is taking you.

"Where are we going?" You ask, trying to look at the screens in the cockpit.

"Mustafar." Darth Vader answers. "Soon, you will call it home."

The ship flies out of the hangar and launches into hyperspace.

"Yes, Lord Vader."
