The Fifth Brother steps away from you. Your eyes are tearing up. You've never heard of inquisitors before, and you aren't sure why he seems evil.
"Y/N. I need you to go back to the ship." Hunter whispers to you.
"But what about-" You start.
"Your mom and I will be fine. Just go, and tell Tech to go off world. We'll find our way back to you." Hunter interrupts.
As much as you want to stay, you decide it's best to trust your dad.
"Tech, start the ship! We need to leave!" You say over your comm-link.
As you're about to get on the ship, the inquisitor grabs you by the arm. He holds you close to him and ignites his lightsaber. It's only about an inch away from cutting your neck.
"Let her go!" Hunter shouts.
"Come one step closer and I'll kill her." The inquisitor says.
Hunter slowly puts his blaster on the ground. Tears stream down your face. You don't want to die. You're too young, and the whole squad only got to be together just recently.
"What do you want with her?" Dara asks, dropping her lightsaber.
"Well, the Empire wanted me to find her and that clone girl since nobody else could capture them. I made a change of plans, however." The inquisitor says.
"What do you mean, 'change of plans'?" Hunter asks angrily.
"She could be my apprentice. I mean, let's be honest: how much has she really learned? She could be powerful, and of great use to the Empire. She would be one of the youngest Sisters in history!" The inquisitor explains.
You grit your teeth. "I will never be one of you!"
"Very rebellious, I see..." He chuckles.
"I just have some good morals, unlike you, Inquisitor." You scoff.
You take a deep breath in. You know that what you're about to do could very well end up killing you, but it's worth a try. You use the Force to push his lightsaber out of his hand and get out of his grip. You ignite your lightsaber, prepared for a fight.
The Marauder is gone after Tech followed your instructions. It's mostly just you and Dara against the Fifth Brother since Hunter's blaster won't do much.
"You're foolish. You could've been great, Y/N..." The inquisitor sighs.
He lunges towards you and his lightsaber clashes against yours. Your arms hurt even after just a few seconds of holding your lightsaber against his. Dara picks up her lightsaber and runs over to you, helping you fight him off. You two use so much of your strength to fight him off. With your combined strength, you and Dara are able to push him over.
"Y/N. Let's see if we can outrun him. Jump onto that building." Dara says, pointing to a nearby storage building.
"I'll meet you on the other side of town with a speeder." Hunter says.
The inquisitor is already starting to come after you. You look over at the building. It's higher than you've ever Force jumped before, but you know you can do it. You bend your knees and use the Force to jump up high. You don't get high enough to land feet first, so you manage to hang on by your hands. Dara has already jumped up. She takes your hand and pulls you up.
"Hurry!" She says.
It feels impossible to breathe from the crying and anxiety you're dealing with. You look behind you and see that the Fifth Brother is catching up to you. You trip and fall down. He runs over to you and stands over you, his lightsaber nearly touching your neck like earlier. There's nothing you can do. You can't bend your neck to see if your mother is nearby. You're sobbing at this point. It feels hopeless. You wait for your mother to come save you. You hear her running over. She uses the Force to push him back. You and Dara keep running away from him.
"Fight me, cowards!" The inquisitor yells.
You stop running and face towards him.
"Y/N! What are you doing?" Your mother says.
"Just trust me!" You respond.
"Foolish padawan..." The inquisitor says as he fights you. "This will be your last battle."
"Oh yeah?" You respond.
You use the Force to grab your mother's lightsaber. You use yours to continue fighting the inquisitor and your mother's to cut his leg. He winces in pain and stumbles back. He seems to be immobilized, so he can't follow you. You run towards your mother and she hugs you.
"I am so proud of you." She says.
"Thank you."
"But don't do that again. I was so worried!" She continues.
You two run and jump down from the building safely. Hunter is waiting nearby. He hugs both of you.
"Are you hurt?" He asks.
"No, we're okay." You reassure him.
"I just saw you crying... I didn't want to lose either one of you." He continues.
Dara turns on her comm-link. "Tech, can you pick us up?"
"Affirmative." He responds quickly. "We'll be there shortly."
"So... did you fight the inquisitor?" Hunter asks.
Dara puts her hand on your shoulder. "At one point, she fought him all by herself. She used one lightsaber to hold him back and the other to hurt his leg. It was unlike anything I'd seen before. I'm surprised it worked. Not very many Jedi could manage to pull that off like you did."
"Well, you're the daughter of an enhanced clone with untraditional ways of doing things. It makes sense." He smiles.
You all stay out of the line of sight of the inquisitor's ship as you wait for the rest of the squad. Tech lands the ship in a secluded part of the planet. You follow your parents' lead on where to go to get to the ship. You all run up the steps and onto the ship. Tech takes off once you're all on.
Omega sees you and gives you a hug. "Y/N! I was so worried about you!"
"I'm alright, I promise." You respond, smiling.
"Who was that man?" Crosshair asks. "He had the mark of the Empire on his armor, but I've never seen him before."
Dara walks over. "He is the Fifth Brother. One of the Inquisitors. They can be very powerful. During the Clone War, we had problems with them. Y/N here fought him off on her own at the very end."
"Did you kill him?" Crosshair asks, moving his toothpick to the other side of his mouth.
"Crosshair!" You say, shoving him a little.
"What? It's a fair question..." He responds.
"No, I did not kill him. Can you imagine what we would be facing if I was even able to kill him?" You say.
"I guess you're right. Maybe next time." Crosshair says.
You walk over to Tech and hug him.
"Hunter told me what happened." Tech says. "I am glad you are safe."
The ship control panel beeps. A hologram of Echo appears.
"Echo!" Omega exclaims.
"I'm headed over to Ord Mantell. Are you guys okay?" He says.
"We're fine. But we have a lot to tell you when you get back..." You respond.
"I look forward to it. See you soon." Echo says.
The hologram of him disappears. You sit down in Echo's seat. Your muscles are weak, especially your arms. Dara kneels down and looks at you.
"By the way," She starts. "I know you know this, but you aren't a foolish padawan. You're the most creative and courageous padawan I've ever met."
She hugs you.
"Thank you, Mom. For everything out there." You respond.
