chapter 23: In control

Jin Kazama.......

The fighter found himself in a forest , in a clearing where the sunlight shone upon his laying figure.

He knew this spot , this exact clearing in the forest where he trained when he was younger.

From the large tree that he used to punch , to the lake which he used to swim in.

It wasn't just a place where he trained though....it was also a place where he could go to find peace.

Growing up he was raised by his mother , Jun Kazama.

She was an amazing fighter and teacher , showing Jin her Kazama Family fighting style. A fighting style which was rooted in self defense just like karate but with movements which would force the opponents to attack constantly and leave themselves open.

He lived a peaceful life with his mother........but soon his life turned upside down.

One fateful night , Jun sensed a dark presence approaching.
She warned Jin to run away and seek his grandfather if anything should happen to her.

As she did , a green behemoth attacked. Destroying their house and setting their surroundings on fire.

The monster spoke in a tounge which was foreign to Jin , and it attacked his mother.
Jun fought to protect her son....but the monster was too strong. It defeated her and went for her son , who was easily taken down.

Before he passed out , Jin saw his mother Infront of him. She kissed his forehead and fought the monster , this time using the broken house to her advantage.

Their was a final explosion before Jin lost consciousness.

When he awoke he found himself surrounded by the burnt remains of his house , but he didn't find the Bodies of his mother or the monster.

A memory which he kept and used as his driving force to get revenge.

Why was he here again though.....

Suddenly the sun was shut off , and replaced with darkness... save for a new red moon.
The lake which was filled with clear water , was suddenly filled with blood.

The tree's were on fire and he was surrounded by in a ring of flames.

He got into his fighting stance and prepared for whatever was to come.

And on cue , the red moonlight was covered by a winged figure.

Jin turned around to see.......his devil self.

" What do you want demon!? " Jin asked.

The devil flew down and landed , sending the flames higher up into the trees.

" I want what you want " the devil answered.

Jin scoffed and put his fist up to fight.

" We are not after the same thing! " The fighter said.

The devil laughed and stretched his arms out.
" Yes we are hahahaaaa! You want to kill that man who abandoned you're mother and you " the devil stated.

" Did you bring me here to talk or to fight? " Jin asked.

Devil Jin smiled and looked at the fighter.
" guess there's no need to talk anymore "

And with that the devil ran towards Jin , who was ready for the attack.

The devil attempted to grab Jin , but the fighter was quick to sidestep.
This slight yet effective movement sent the devil towards the flames.
