A story I wrote when I was 12 💀💀💀

This was for an English assignment I had in middle school.

it's just about how terrible my first day of school was, but i added a lot of things to make it into a story.

It was early September. The warmth of the breeze always gave the students, even the teachers, a huge boost of optimism. The first day of school quickly came around the corner.

Lia slowly walked towards the bus stop. There was a massive crowd of kids there.

The neighborhood was filled with kids. Too many, Lia thought.

Each kid packed their bags, got a kiss from their parents, and walked happily to the bus stop.

"We are in the same class!" "We are on the same bus!" "What did you do in summer?"

Was the only thing that Lia could hear.

It seemed like everyone was so excited. However, Lia was nervous. She wanted to get better grades than last year.

Lia got plenty of D's last year. So, Lia was not exactly excited about school.

"School is torture," Lia told everyone.

The sun shone brightly on the bus stop, so Lia didn't feel terrible.

Lia wanted the first day of school to be a good day where everything went smoothly.

She sat on the bus. She preferred to sit next to the window to stare outside. Lia inserted her earbuds into her ears. There was so much talking and screaming.

The bus started to move.

The sun shone brightly on the empty road. The trees slowly swayed from left to right. Even with this serenity outside, there was a car accident.

The students on the bus were talking about how the car was done for. The front of the white car was just a bit messed up.

It seemed like a small sparkly gray coil was sticking out from the front of the vehicle. The front of the car looked like a hammer was repeatedly charged at the vehicle, hitting it with a lot of force.

It wasn't as terrible as the students were saying. Several minutes later, the bus arrived at the school.

All of the lights were on. The entrance was bombarded by teachers. And how slowly the buses moved. So slow.

Lia walked out of the bus in a mix of excitement and fear.

"A portion of my day is done, at least!" Lia thought.

"There wouldn't be so much chatter when school continues. It's just the first day of school."

The red brick building stood tall next to the green trees. The school building looked superior to every building and object standing beside it.

Looking at the size of the school made Lia gulp. She did not want to go back to school.

You have to spend a whole year there with only a 2-month break. There was a speaker that was playing some music. It was playing 'Y.M.C.A.' Classic.

Lia entered the school doors. All of the kids barged into the school doors. The doors slammed behind the students with a loud deafening noise. The bright-colored shirts of the students scattered left and right. The lights on the school ceilings were so bright you'd have to squint to look directly at it.

Some people went the wrong way. Lia saw several people that she knew from last year. Lia looked at a crinkled paper that had her schedule. It was Social Studies.
