"Mevkhibe?"

Leyla waves the open salts under her mother's nose and she sits up, gasping.

"Mevkhibe, are you alright?" Nihat helps her up and sits her down at the table. Leyla pours some water and rubs her mother's pulse points on her wrist with soothing oil.

"I'm okay," Mevkhibe says slowly, closing her eyes as Leyla massages her.

"You scared me Mevkhibe, what will I do without you? Don't do that again."

Osman and Ayhan look at each other and nod. They turn when her eyes are closed again and inch to the door.

"Come back here! Stay where you are!" Mevkhibe snaps. "Right now! I don't want to tell you again!" She glares at them. "Right where I can see you," she warns and they go back to their spots.

"Mevkhibe calm down dear," Nihat coos and rubs her shoulders, whispering in her ear. She takes a breath and closes her eyes again.

"Mom?!"

Sanem runs out of the house, having just returned home.

"Mom what happened? Are you okay?" she asks worriedly, looking at her mother sitting at the table with everyone around her.

Mevkhibe looks at her dazedly. "Oh, hello, did you come alone?" Sanem frowns and looks at Leyla. "Where is your fiance? Oh wait! Of course," Mevkhibe's eyes narrow, "you probably don't even know who you're actual fiance is!" She scoffs and stands up.

Sanem takes a step back. "Mom, I - "

"I hope God sends you a child one day that's exactly like you...no, one isn't enough, let it be 300 and every single one should be like you...They'll work only 3 to 5 days a week and have 3 to 5 grooms to be too!"

Sanem glances at Ayhan, who makes a cutting sign across her neck for Sanem to not speak now. What did they say to my mother?!

"I hope they're all problematic!" Sanem opens her mouth but Mevkhibe waves a finger in her face and she purses her lips. "All little Sanems just causing havoc all around you!" Mevkhibe heaves a breath and Nihat tries to calm her again.

"Mom, I'll explain everything to you just please don't be mad at me."
Her mother widens her eyes angrily.
"Let me explain okay?"

"Oh no missy!"

They all turn around to see Aysun storming through to the garden. How did she even get in? Sanem wonders.

"First explain to me and then to your mother! Come on talk, who are you running around with?"

"Aysun! Be quiet! What are you even doing here?" Nihat asks loudly, holding Mevkhibe back. Aysun purses her lips into a stout pout and glares at him. "My daughter doesn't run around with anyone watch your words!"

"Yeah," Leyla agrees, "no one's calling your son anything are they? So don't call my sister anything. It's unnecessary."

"Are you actually defending me?" Sanem asks in shock, staring at Leyla.

"Your daughter is engaged to Osman and you didn't even know! Last week it was my son, who knows who else she's got in the line up? I bet you it's at least three more!"

"Uh, aunt Aysun," Osman holds up his hand, "listen, it's not like that, we were just - "

"Aysun," Mevkhibe says in a low voice and Osman stops, looking at her. "Aysun, I'm going to tell you this only once, just take your son and go please, I'm too tired to deal with you right now."

"Where is he?"

"Over there," Mevkhibe waves at the table and Aysun looks over to see his feet sticking out from under it.
