"Uncle Nihat, the fridges are full, should we stop do you think?" Osman walks back to Nihat still making vegetarian patties.
"No! We started, so let's finish. And look, there are still open spaces in here. We have to fill them up."
Osman glances at the 'spaces' and sighs. Where?! There are no more 'spaces'!
"Uncle Nihat, when I came here I decided I wouldn't say anything, but the current situation has forced me to talk." Muzaffer points at the counter. "Where is all the lamb and sheep meat? How much longer are we going to continue with this foreign concept of vegetarianism?"
Nihat looks back down and rolls his eyes.
"Who's going to buy vegetarian kofta? Where's the Adana kebaps and the Gaziantep meat with dough? The Izmir poplars and Denizli's roosters? Huh, where are they?!" Muzaffer jumps up, carried away by his speech. "Oof," he groans, "I'm so worked up now I feel lightheaded... My mom took my store and I'm losing my mind too..."
"Good God man!" Nihat says loudly and Osman turns to him, his eyes still wide from staring at Muzaffer. "What do you want me to do Muzaffer?! Huh?! I'm in the same boat! Your aunt Mevkhibe's taken my store! Is something happening to me? Am I losing my mind too?! No! I'm not! I've created my little space here and I'm keeping busy! What are you planning to do? Make a space here for yourself as well and help!"
Osman starts shaking his head and waving his hands. It looked like they were forgetting who the owner was. "Uh, uncle Nihat, Muzaffer," he says carefully, "look, I understand that you've both been chased but...I think that we're spending a little too much time together, don't you? It's getting very crowdes in here. Why don't we seperate for a while, hm?"
Muzaffer snorts. "It's fine."
"He's right. It's fine," Nihat nods.
I'm going to be out of my own job soon too if these two don't get theirs back.
"Can someone help me with this?"
A stack of styrofoam coldboxes with two legs appear in the doorway with Ayhan's voice."Help the girl!" Nihat says to Muzaffer as Osman takes the other half.
"You're never going to guess what these are!" Ayhan grins.
"Coolboxes?" Osman guesses and smiles when she pulls a mocking face at him.
"I've thought of a brilliant plan to save both storage and keep the kofta fresh because I saw that you were making way too much, by the way. Think of it as promotion too! We can put 250 grams into each one, then we can distribute them in some strategic places which I'm already busy scouting out."
"When did you think of this?" Osman asks in amazement.
"What a great idea!" Muzaffer beams.
"Great!" Nihat agrees.
"I think so too!" Ayhan nods. "And the last night," she answers Osman, "I've been busy this morning. I even made these stickers, look! We write the address and phone number here in the corner and if the people want more they can come and get them or call us and we can deliver." She looks at her stunned brother. "It's good right?"
"It's brilliant," Osman agrees and she beams at him.
"Well, come on then, let's start packing them up."
Osman taps her shoulder before she can head to the fridge and she looks at him. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" She nods and he leads her outside while the two men inside get started.
"What's going on?" Ayhan asks once they're on the sidewalk.
Osman keeps walking.
"Hey, what's going on?" Ayhan asks again, rushing after him.
