"Why are you being so stubborn? Cinging for your life to this branch?" Muzaffer coos at the apple up in the tree. "This is very unnecessary my friend. We've been here for ages so now I am asking you nicely, Mr Apple. Why can't you understand that all we need is for you to let go and let us catch you?"
JJ and Ayhan look at him tiredly. He's been talking to every tree and apple around them for the past two hours.
"We are but humble sons of Adam, who dedicate our lives to making sure you are well fed and looked after so when the time comes, you trust us to be here for you when you fall. We spent countless hours on you every day and we love nature. Work with my friend. Nature, flowers, insects - we love all of it. We won't hurt you, have a little pity, come on, please?"
"Ugh, Muzo," Ayhan groans and lays her head against the tree behind her. "Do you know what the words 'shut up and be quiet' mean? How can one person yap away for so long and talk about the most nonsensical nonsense on the planet from start to finish? Good Lord! I think the apple tree needs a bit of quiet too."
"No, Ayhan," Muzaffer shakes his head. "There's a connection between this tree and I now, I can feel it. It's been listening I know. And now that the bond is made, I am one with the tree." He touches the bark with a serene smile. "Come on my friend, I know you're ready to help us with a few ripe apples. Just let them fall on the soft green pillowed grass at your roots and we'll take care of them." He looks up into the branches. "Come on! You can do this! Give us a few apples! I believe in you!" he calls up and grins.
As he lifts both his hands in the air, an apple drops to the ground at JJ's feet.
"Ha ha! He gave us an apple!" Muzaffer laughs gleefully and points at it. "See?! I'm one with the tree!" More apples start to drop to the ground and Ayhan and JJ stare in awe at them bouncing around their feet. "Rejoice! Praise the tree!"
"It actually worked!" Ayhan squeals and pushes herself up to stand and start collecting the apples.
"You're amazing Muzaffer!" JJ also gets up to help collect them.
"High five Muzo!" Muzaffer high fives Ayhan when she holds her hand up and she turns it on JJ too.
"Thank you my friend!" Muzaffer calls to the tree top, cupping his hands.
"This is enough, we just needed 4, there's just one fruitarian, and this should be good enough. Come on."
"All that work for 4 apples?!" Muzaffer asks in shock.
"That's how it goes," Ayhan shrugs and the three of them make their way back to the fence to leave the way they came.

"Come on Mevkhibe, hurry up, it's getting late." It was indeed past sunset and as Mevkhibe closes the front door with the last dish in her hand, Nihat nods. "Alright, put it in, hurry."
She places it in the wheelbarrow with the rest and Nihat starts walking.
"Mevkhibe, my dove," he starts as she walks next to him. "I agreed to take these back since you won the test, and now I'm just asking you please, don't fight with Aysun, okay?"
"Of course not Nihat," Mevkhibe smiles at him. "When have I ever fought with Aysun?" He stares down at her as he walks. "I'm not a fighter, you know me. I don't like fighting, or swearing." She sighs. "You offend me Nihat, shame on you. No scandals or quarrels ever erupt from my lips. I'm a calm person. Just look at me, I'm happy."
"Yes, you don't like to quarrel," he agrees dryly, looking ahead of him. "And you do look happy right now," he eyes her again, "so, we're agreed? We just give these back and come right home?" he begs.
