Can pulls up to the lodge a bit later than expected. He knows the first activity just started but he doesn't really care about that, he wasn't planning on participating much in any of them. Most of the activities were more for the employees anyway.
As he gets out, grabbing his overnight bag and locking his car, another car drives down the road and passes him. It was a sleek, old model but it was still stunning.
He pauses to whistle, leaning to the side to look at the back of the car as the driver - a young man with dark hair - gets out.
"Nice car," Can praises.
"Thanks." The man greets him with a nod.
"It's a '55 model right? 4000/150 horsepower?"
"You know your cars."
"Do you mind if look at it?" Can points at the front. He just had to see this thing's engine and the inside.
"Go ahead," the man smiles and walks to the back, opening it.
Can leans down and shakes his head in awe. It was pristine. It looked like a new car. "V8 engine. Automatic transmission." He stands back up. "I heard these Coupes were only produced for a year and then cancelled."
"Yes."
"Still, it's gorgeous. Shit," Can looks at the wheels. He could go a few hundred miles in this. "She's well looked after."
"Thank you," the man nods and smiles again, then looks around.
"Sorry, I'm probably keeping you." The man shakes his head that it wasn't a problem. "Are you here for the camp?"
"I am."
They start walking and Can looks at him, frowning. "What agency?"
"I have no idea," the man chuckles.
"Oh, are you part of the plus ones then?"
"Something like that."
"Okay," Can shrugs.
"I didn't want to come but I couldn't say no, you know? This isn't my type of thing, but I'm not here for me."
"True," Can laughs as they enter the front office.
-
"Be careful!" JJ yells.
"Ugh! This game is lasting forever!" Sanem groans. "Where is Osman?!" He needed to be there before Can so they could talk strategy. The man was like a hawk and if he shows up after him, he'll be everywhere and they won't be able to talk.
"I'm sick of hearing Osman's name! Osman, Osman! Sanem pull the goddamn rope!" Leyla grinds out and glares over her shoulder.
"He needs to get here before Mr Can does, we have to talk. And I have to be the one to introduce them."
"Oh my God!" Leyla groans as her foot slips again. "Just stop, I warned him last night not to talk to anyone when he gets here, okay, so he knows. If he sees Mr Can all he's supposed to do is say hello."
"If you say so, I hope he doesn't lean into his social side!" Sanem grunts and pulls on the rope. Leyla gasps and Sanem growls a little, pulling harder.
"Let's go! Third round!" JJ yells.
The two groups pull and pull again. Sanem pulls absently, looking through the trees towards the office. Her cheeks inside were chewed to shreds by this point from worry.
"Do something! Trip them up!" Aylin yells as she slides forward.
"I heard that!" Deren snaps.
"He's not here! He's not coming!"
