Gayoung felt like she was stuck on a wild goose hunt. Finding this one human was more difficult than expected, and it didn't help that she had basically nothing to work with. Yeon wasn't being helpful; Shin-joo was out of her reach now thanks to Yeon, and there was no one else she knew that could be helpful. Until...

Rang called.

"Rang," Gayoung coldly greeted him. "What do you want?"

"Is that any way to speak to your dear friend, Haetae?" Rang asked, sounding like the joker she always saw him as. "Honestly, I should be the angry one, considering you and Yeon have been talking again."

Gayoung rolled her eyes, put her phone on speaker, and then rested it on the dashboard so she could focus on driving.

Why he seriously still being a child about this whole thing with his brother?

And then dragging her into this when she was only one text message from Yeomna and Themis away from coming for his soul next.

"If you're done wasting my time and precious oxygen to continue whining like a child, I have a job to return to. See you never, Rang," She said, moving her hand to end the call.

"You won't listen to me when I know the human woman you're looking for?" Rang asked her, making her freeze. She could just imagine the shit-eating grin on his face for having a leg up on her.

She pondered the difference in how she would feel if she ended the call, continuing the search by herself, and what would happen if she allowed herself to listen to whatever Rang had to say. In a second, the choice became as clear as day.

"Where are you? And what do you want in exchange?"

Gayoung hoped for Rang's sake that he had told her the truth or she'd make for him and make a coat out of his real form. She slowly continued her way up to the bus stop, eyeing the female student and the seemingly drunk elder man sitting a few steps away. She looked up and down for the black-haired reporter woman that Rang said was the one she was looking for. From the way he made her sound, which Gayoung took with a grain of salt for how biased he was, this human certainly sounded the type to risk exposure to all of them.

Gayoung pulled up her watch and frowned, seeing she had to wait a few more minutes before this woman and the bus would show up. Judgment quietly whined from its place on her back as she slowly made her way over to the two. She stopped a few feet away from them and then faced forward so the two would only see the side of her face. Judgment quieted down but began to heat up, meaning there was a soul damned for hell nearby. While her schedule was already full with finding this human, it would look bad on her if she let this slide, but the only problem was that she wasn't sure which one Judgment was reacting to.
