"What are you thinking about?" Yeon asked Gayoung, the two laying in her bed wide-awake instead of sleeping as they said they were going to.

"How quickly everything has changed." Gayoung answered, staring up at her ceiling. "It hasn't been that long since we ran into each other, since everything that happened on Eohwa, and now with everything that happened just recently. I guess I'm just now giving myself a chance to think about it all."

"Good things I hope." Yeon said, turning to look at his lover.

"It's a lot, Yeon. Just today alone was insane." Gayoung said, thinking about the hundred plus humans died because of her.

And yes, it was because of her. It might have been Yeon who technically sealed their fates when he said no to Imoogi's deal, and certainly Imoogi was at fault here as well for even being that evil and cruel to sentence all those humans to end their lives prematurely, but the whole thing was centered around her. Imoogi wanted her, for some reason they had no idea about, to get his revenge on Yeon and take over the world.

"It's like you said, it wasn't my fault. And it certainly wasn't yours so stop self-blaming yourself." Yeon said, reaching over to grab her hand. He intertwined their fingers and squeezed her hand.

"I am not—"

"You are. You have that contemplating face on and it can only be about so many things."

"Maybe I'm thinking about moving out. There's that."

"We can discuss moving and all that after we deal with Imoogi and make sure Rang isn't going to do something stupid to get our attention."

"Who said we're going to move somewhere together?"

"Oh, I'd love to. Thanks for asking, honey."

"Hey." Gayoung protested, going to sit up and tell him off further but was pulled back down. Yeon pulled her closer to him, putting her head on his chest and keeping an arm around her waist to keep her from sitting up again. "I will hurt you. Let me get up."

"Go to sleep, babe. There's no point in talking about it anymore." Yeon told her, picking a strand of her mixed brown and twinge of blonde hair around his finger. "It's like I told you before. I don't care what I have to do or who I'll have to face. So long as you're safe and you're you then that's all that matters to me."
