"I'm going to kill myself with the gun with poison laced bullets Hae-ryong brought to kill me. However. If I fail, I need you to be the one to put an end to my life." Gayoung told Rang, a deadly serious look on her face.

Rang frowned at her words as he felt the urge to immediately search her, find this gun and throw it into the nearby river. He couldn't picture a life without the Haetae around and he certainly didn't want to.

But they also didn't have any other options on how to deal with Imoogi without either her or Yeon dying.

"You shouldn't have to sacrifice yourself for Yeon. Without you around he's just going to become a useless walking shell of himself. And then how am I ever going to learn to behave if the two of you are gone?" Rang pointed out to Gayoung, an almost begging tone to his voice.

Gayoung let out a small huff before chuckling to herself.

"It took you how many centuries to admit you like having me and Yeon around?" She asked him, a teasing tone to her voice. He rolled his eyes at her and looking away making her giggle before quickly sobering up. "It won't be long before I accidentally get cut or someone manages to cut me and the serpent inside comes out. I'll get blood on my hands, hurt someone and not even be able to do anything about it even though it's my body. If I were to ever hurt you or Yeon then I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

"We would forgive you even though there's nothing to forgive. So stop trying to act like a martyr for five seconds and try being optimistic that there's a third way out of this." Rang countered, looking at her like she was an idiot.

"Rang, there's no point in arguing about this. I've made up my mind about this and you can't convince me otherwise." Gayoung told him, a serious look on her face still. "We have the same goal. To protect Yeon. I'm willing to die for him, I'm sure you are too so why not just agree to help me do that?"

"Because you're asking me to be okay with you dying and to kill you!" Rang exclaimed, suddenly standing up from the solo chair. He looked at her with such a mix of emotions that she couldn't figure out what he was feeling. "You and my brother really do belong together. You're both so ready to die for eachother, to save the world or whatever without any care for how the rest of us feel about it."

"And what's the alternative? Let Imoogi do whatever he likes but we get to live?" Gayoung questioned, standing up as well. "I'm sorry that there's no magical third option here but it's either one of us dies or the whole world suffers from it. Now can I trust you to do what's necessary if it came down to it or am I alone here?"
