"You don't have to be here as well." Yeon told Gayoung, who had been staring at the sliding door in front of them. "He's my little brother. Despite everything that's happened, he's still my responsibility."

"Yeon, he traumatized Ji-ah, used her feelings for you to turn her against us, and nearly got you trapped in a bottomless bag. I can't keep turning the other way for him." She retorted, turning to him.

Yeon pressed his lips together as he studied her face. As happy he was that she had been more accepting of his advances and even seemed to having the same feelings for him he couldn't help but notice how... different she had been. She didn't argue back at much. She was more accepting of things that normally she would never be okay with. He was sure that this had something to do with her giving up the makeshift ring he made her but couldn't see any other effects besides her... being relaxed? He wasn't even sure how to describe the new her.

Gayoung turned her head forward and frowned a bit. "He's here." She said, sitting up straight and gripping her knees a bit more tightly.

Yeon looked down at her hands, seeing she was white-knuckling her tan colored slacks, and that she was clenching her jaw. It seemed that despite her words she still had mixed feelings about going after Rang. He reached over, holding onto her hand that was closest to him, intertwined their fingers and continued to stare at her with clear affection.

"I'm here. It'll be fine." He told her, being reassuring.

Gayoung said nothing as she stared back at Yeon's eyes easily. She hoped that Yeon couldn't hear her quickening heartbeat while under his gaze. The two ex lovers continued to stare at each other, neither leaning in or moving away, until the sound of the sliding door made them look forward. Rang stared at the two, eye twitching at the close proximity of the his brother and the woman his feelings twisted for everyday, before sitting across from them with a bored look on his face.

"So... did she see it?" Rang asked, focusing on his brother and not Gayoung. Getting nothing as an answer back Rang turned excited at the idea that Ji-ah had seen her past life. "I guess she saw her past life. What did she say? Will you please tell me? I won't be able to sleep at night."

"Rang." Yeon calmly told his little brother. "What do you want to be reborn as in your next life?"

"What an absurd question." Rang commented, not seeing the relevance of such a pointless question.
