"You're not nervous about it? " Billy asked curiously and sat down next to the assassin absorbed in documents.
"What? " She asked without even looking at him.
"Our stay in New York has been extended, and your job... "
"It's a necessary evil. " She nodded then sighed and looked at him. "It'll be all right. " She added seeing his concern. "I'll do the job tomorrow and we'll go home."
The job that Narin got turned out to be a bit more complex than she thought.
The woman had to wade through all the corners of the new place and stay in a hotel near her client's estate. Or rather clients, because there were two of them. They were two men in their thirties who asked her for help. Their younger brothers ruled two separate gangs that fought with each other more than once. The elders learned that there was a reason for the quarrels between them. Someone else was behind it. A rich man who not only put the two gangs at odds with each other, but also dealt drugs with them and punished them when he received less money from them for the goods than he should've received. The younger brothers didn't realize that they were being manipulated so their relatives decided to take matters into their own hands. They themselves in their younger years also belonged to gangs, even though they ended their old lives, they wanted to do everything to get their brothers straight. Even at the cost of one small murder.
"How do you want to that? " Boy asked.
"At the race. " She replied, which surprised her companion. "Tomorrow, this guy..." She pointed to the man who was squabbling the gangs. "He's racing, it's going to be one of the best times for me to approach him. " She said.
"Won't it be more difficult for you to complete this task at the race? It's going to be full of people and, well, it's a race after all. " He threw up his arms. "There'll be a lot going on there. "
"I know." She nodded. "That's why I'm taking part in it myself." She smiled proudly, which only surprised Billy even more. "I signed up, and besides..." She stretched her hands a little. "Racing is fun. " She laughed. "I'm going to win and kill him on the way." She waved her hand.
"You can drive racing cars? " Man wondered.
"Who said it's car racing? "

The races Vazquez has competed in have been quad racing. The whole thing took place in an area far from the city, full of high mountains, hills, sand and mud. Narin liked challenges as well as crazy driving, so this job was a lot of fun for her. Unlike Morales, who was very worried about her.
The boy went with her to the place, disguised so that no one would recognize him. He was dressed appropriately for the situation, they didn't want anyone to draw unnecessary attention to him.
"Just be careful, please. " He said looking at her pleadingly. The assassin was amused by his concern. "It's not funny, Narin. "
"All right, all right, viejo tonto. " She shook her head, then walked closer to him and buttoned his shirt. "Do everything I told you and don't worry about me." She smiled at him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I can handle it. Hm?"
Throughout her long stay in a new place, whether she wanted it or not, miss Vazquez was even more doomed to Billy's presence than before. She had to listen to his chatter and explain that this wasn't her first job, that she could take care of herself. In their city, at least she could get away from him for a while and gather her thoughts, knowing that he was safe in her home. Over time, however, she began to get used to him, to understand his way of thinking, and sometimes even listen to what he had to say. Even though Morales was two years older than her, the boy acted like someone much younger than her. As if she was the senior guardian. Billy seemed to be learning the very basics of adult life. He didn't understand much, so Narin had to explain everything to him, which annoyed her more than once. Since he's the older one, he should know these things by now, at least in theory.
