Mauricio confidently walked towards Sadik Reis and his daughter. It was Banou who spotted the trader first and gave him a surreptitious glance. In response, the brunet only smiled and nodded his head in the opposite direction, at the same time letting her know that she should go her own way. So the girl obeyed him and in the moment of the parent's inattention, she walked away from the scene.
"Huh? Banou?" Father asked confused.
"Hola, amigo! (Hello, friend)" Serrano called cheerfully. "It's been years since we've seen each other, huh?" He smiled impudently at the opponent, who glared at the brunet with a murderous look.
"You." He groaned and got to his feet.
"Yeah, me." The trader replied proudly. "How about we finish what we started, huh?"
"You took the words right out of my mouth." The military man snorted and looked around again for his daughter.
"Are you looking for a baby girl?" The younger man laughed, and his words immediately caught Arda's attention.
"What did you do?" He asked through his teeth. "Where's my daughter?!"
Mauricio only shrugged his shoulders in response, the sneering smile still didn't leave his face, and this fact alone irritated Sadik Reis even more.
"Where is she?!" He shouted, causing several passers-by to look at the soldier.
"Not here. Not any more." He replied amused. "You look bad, amigo. You have a blush on your cheeks, is it because of my presence? Aww, you flatter me, really." He said, knowing that these were one of the symptoms of poison, hot flashes.
Arda snorted and wanted to move towards the trader, but after a moment he hesitated and carefully looked at himself. Only after that he look at Serrano again in surprise.
"What are you up to, damn trader?" He asked, frowning.
"Oh, amigo." Brunet shook his head, still smiling. "I've already started." He said proudly.
After a few moments, their conversation was interrupted by loud noises coming from Mauricio's earphone. Only he heard it, but the sounds of screaming and fighting disturbed him, so he decided to speak to Narin to find out what was going on.
"Chinita?" He placed his hand on the earphone. "What's going on there?"
"Que te folle un pez! (Screw you)" He heard in the handset, which made him raise his eyebrows.
"Um, chinita? I really hope it wasn't to me." Brunet shook his head.
"No, but we have a problem!" He heard the voice of his beloved on the other side. He guessed from the background noises that she was fighting with someone. "That bitch Burton is here! Ah, fuck!"
Serrano blinked several times, carefully analyzing the mulatto's words, but before he could answer her anything, Sadik Reis rushed at him, shouting loudly.
Mauricio dodged at the last moment and blocked the soldier's hand, which held the knife.
"I'll kill you, damn trader! " The elder shouted. "I'll rip your guts out!" He struck another blow, but the brunet managed to dodge to the side.
People seeing the sudden fight started screaming and running away from the scene as fast as they could.
"Where is my daughter?!" Arda called, and went to Serrano with a knife in his hand. "What the hell did you do?"
"Nothing, really." Man spread his hands. "I only whispered a few words in her ear, and the rest went downhill." He laughed but fell silent as the warrior attacked him again.
