"Where are you, damn trader?" Sadik Reis snorted, slowly looking around at the people passing him.

Arda was a stout, tall and extremely muscular man. At first glance, you could guess that he had been in the army at one time.

He was bald and had two large scars. One of them was on the right side of his head, just above his ear, about five centimeters long. The second, on the other hand, cut his left cheek, from the side of the eye to the outer part of the face. In addition, the military man had bushy brown eyebrows and a thick beard, trimmed in a square shape.

The man had his feet firmly on the ground. He moved confidently and quickly, with his chest thrust out proudly and his head held high. The people around him annoyed him a bit, and the mere fact that he hadn't found Mauricio yet, made his anger grow with every passing moment.

The military man stopped at a large fountain and sighed heavily.

At the center of this magnificent fountain are two bronze coyotes. Animals were of great importance to the Aztecs, who ruled in and around Mexico City in the past; many still believe in the supernatural powers of coyotes. The fountain is located in a park in Coyoacán, whose name translates as 'place of abundant coyotes'. And the bohemian Coyoacán district is famous for its cobbled streets and colonial architecture.

It was only after a long time that a certain person caught Sadik Reis's attention, but it was someone whom he didn't expect at all.

"Papá?"He heard his daughter's voice coming towards him.

Somewhat frightened, the man quickly looked around, in a panic that the Serrano trader was about to arrive and attack his child. However, that didn't happen. At the moment, the secretive Mauricio wasn't about to carry out the next part of his plan yet.

"What are you doing here?" Banou asked, feigning surprise.

Arda was speechless. He didn't know what to say to his daughter. He hadn't seen her for so long that the sudden sight of her made the man feel a kind of emotion.

"Mi hija..." The soldier whispered, trying to control his emotions. "You see, your papá..."

"You ran away, didn't you?" She interrupted him, and her words caught his attention. "From prison." She added slightly annoyed.

"Let me explain everything to you..." He approached the young brunette and placed his hands on her shoulders. "I'll explain everything to you, but first..."

"What?" She snorted. "Are you going to disappear again?" She raised her eyebrows. "And you're just going to leave a measly greeting card, and you won't answer any of the questions I ask? You never have time for that, there's always something more important." She said firmly. "Something more important than me." She shook her head and smoothed her bangs with one hand. In the other hand, she held a small cardboard box of cupcakes that she had made herself.

"Hey, it's not like that." Arda said. "You know how much I love you."

"I don't know that." She paused then sighed. "Anyway it doesn't matter." She wanted to leave but Sadik Reis stopped her and looked around carefully again.

"Let's talk." He said, after making sure that it was safe, then sat down with his daughter by the fountain.

"Madre Defne said you were innocent." The girl said, breaking the awkward silence. "Is that true?" She glanced at her parent, who was still scanning the crowd. "You won't even look at me. You want to talk and then your mind wanders off! "

"I'm sorry, mi hija. It's just... a pretty bad time to talk, but..." He spoke with difficulty. "I'm really glad I got to see you."

"You don't show it."
