As soon as they got there, Bernardo's entire villa was already on fire, and the barely alive people tried to run as far away from this place as they could. The fire brigade also gathered around trying to put out the fire.
Narin ran out of the car and looked at the whole incident with horror in her eyes. The woman didn't wait a moment longer, but immediately ran towards her guardian's house.
"Narin! " Mauricio called, then ran after her, cursing under his breath.
Candela stayed with the injured Billy while Itzel ran after the other two.
The assassin paid no heed to the firemen's calls or any other warnings. There was only one thing she could think of at that moment. Bernardo.
Narin looked around at the fleeing people, but she couldn't see her guardian anywhere. By this time, Mauricio had already caught up with her.
"¿Has visto al jefe en alguna parte? (Have you seen jefe anywhere?!)" She asked Bernardo's employees quickly. "¿Lo has visto? (Did you saw him?! ) " She was scared. "¿Has visto a Berni? ¿Has visto a Bernardo? (Have you seen Berni, have you seen Bernardo?) "
Her guardian's employees, however, answered briefly, and Narin didn't expect such an answer. Everyone said they had never seen him anywhere.
The woman looked at the burning villa again.
"I have to find him..." She said brokenly, which caught Serrano's attention.
"Narin, no. " He grabbed her hand, knowing what she wanted to do. "You're not going in there, I forbid it!"
"The rescuers didn't see him either, which means only one thing! " She shouted at her friend. "Bernie's still inside! I won't stand here and watch!"
"Let the rescuers take care of it... " He tried to calm her down, but he wasn't doing it well at that moment.
"Berni's inside, I won't stand idle! " She screamed. ¡Él no puede morir, Mauricio! ¿Tú entiendes? (He can't die, Mauricio! Do you understand?)" She looked at the brunet standing next to her. "He can't..." She whispered and looked at the burning villa again.
"I'm sure he's fine. He's a strong guy." The trader said, placing his hands on her shoulders. "I'll go with you. " He added after a moment, which caught her attention. "We'll go there together. Yes? " He nodded.
Narin nodded at his words, after which they both ran inside the burning building and started looking for her guardian. Mauricio gave his friend a handkerchief, through which he told her to breathe so that she wouldn't be inhaling the smoke, he did the same.
"Bernardo! " Brunet called. "Señor Torres?! "
"Berni?! " Distraught woman called. "Where are you...?"
"Narin, watch out! " Man said and then quickly ran to her, grabbed her hand and together with her he jumped to the side, in front of a wooden beam that fell from the roof. Fortunately, nothing happened to them.
"Let's check out the library. " The mulatto said, not paying attention to the fact that they were almost crushed a moment ago. The brunet didn't say anything, just ran after her.
The fire restricted their access, the entire library was ablaze, and the fire had already begun to block any avenues of escape.
"It's about to collapse..." The trader said, looking uncertainly up at the same time.
"I'm not leaving here without him. " Woman said firmly.
"I'm not saying that... "
"There! " She exclaimed, pointing to the seat in front of her.
