"Don't eat so fast or you'll choke. " Narin shook her head seeing her guardian eating the dinner she had prepared.

"I can't hold myself back." He smiled at her. "Besides, it's so cute, mija!" He exclaimed happily. "You made papa dinner!" He smiled as she rolled her eyes.

"Don't talk so much while you eat. " She said ignoring his words. The woman poured warm green tea into his mug, then put the kettle back in its place and looked once more at the tutor who was eating. "Do you need anything else?"

"M-m, I have everything. " He replied, swallowing another bite of his meal. "Are you going to Billy's?"

"Yeah, I'll check how he's doing. " She sighed and headed towards the door.

"Mija?! " He called after her and the mulatto girl stopped and turned towards him. "Did you eat anything?" He asked suspiciously.

Vazquez smiled at him.

"Of course I did. " She replied then turned on her heel and opened the door. "I'll be back soon. "

"Wait! " He called, and she looked at him again.

Torres threw an apple to her, which the black-haired girl easily caught.

"At least eat this, mija." He said and smiled warmly at her. "Please."

Narin nodded, took a bite of the apple, and waved goodbye to her guardian.

They were in Bernardo's other villa. Not much was left of the previous one, and the investigation into the attack on the man was still ongoing. The assassin was also conducting her little investigation.

The mulatto girl rounded the corner, stopped at the wastebasket and threw an apple into it, which she had only bitten once, for a show in front of her guardian. She wasn't going to eat. She didn't feel hungry, she was used to the smallest portions of food.

After a few moments, the woman was outside Billy's room. She knocked and went inside.

The boy was sitting on the balcony, on a white chair, next to which there was also a table and with an umbrella spread on top. The mulatto girl approached the boy and looked at him.

"How do you feel? " She asked immediately.

"I'm a little sore, but other than that I'm fine." The brunet replied smiling kindly at her. "I'm glad you finally came." He followed her with his eyes as she leaned against the balcony railing.

"Why? You missek me? " She sighed as she looked around at the view before her.

"To be honest... yes. " He replied which caught her attention.

The black-haired girl laughed softly and walked back to the brunet.

"I almost got you killed, Bill." She said, looking at him.

Morales shook his head, then slowly got to his feet and stopped right in front of Narin.

"It was my fault, not yours. " He said sadly. "I shouldn't have gone out with Candela. I should've listened to you and just stayed."

"And I should've kept an eye on you all the time." She interjected, raising her eyebrows. "Let's get this over with. Good, you're alive. " She nodded and sighed heavily.

"Is something bothering you? " He was worried and wanted to approach her, but the pain wouldn't let him.

Narin ran over to him and helped him sit back in the chair, then crouched down in front of him, gently resting her hands on his knees.

"Don't worry about me, you need to get well soon. You'll have to testify in court soon. " She reminded. " You shouldn't care about anything else."

"But I care. " He interjected. "You can tell me. " He added, looking at her carefully. "You can trust me Narin. I'll listen to you, always..." He spoke softly. "After all, I'm not that bad, huh?" He smiled, and Vazguez involuntarily smiled, hearing his words.
