"It's too quiet. " Itzel said as soon as they got there. "I don't like it. "

Narin didn't answer anything, but carefully watched the surroundings from hiding. But she agreed with her companion's.

"Mauricio? " Vazquez touched her hand to the headset she was wearing in her right ear. Thanks to this, they had contact with the trader who arrived first.

The man was in the building next door, covering the rear. He'd checked the area beforehand and had his sniper rifle set up, ready to use it at any moment.

"Four guards." A voice in the receiver said. "Two at the main entrance and two more on the floors." He said. "But I have to admit that Itzel's right..." He sighed. "The situation seems quite strange. It's definitely a trap, chinita. "

"I'd be disappointed if it wasn't." Assassin replied, then she reached for her rifle from the car and started walking ahead, with the others right behind her.

The black-haired girl hid behind the bushes and once again glanced at the area in front of them. After a while, she gave directions to Bernardo's people what to do and where to go.

"We'll go backwards. " Martinez suggested, pointing to Candela, who was supposed to go with her.

Narin glanced at them and thought for a moment.

"Unless you can't handle those two guards outside." The black woman pointed to the main entrance, and Vazquez, hearing her words, immediately glared at her. "I know, I know..." She lifted her hands up. "Just joking." She added with a smile, to which the mulatto shook her head.

By the time Itzel and Candela made their way to the back of the concrete building, the assassin had to focus on her task. The woman sighed, looking at her weapon, then, as if nothing had happened, came out of hiding and walked confidently towards the guards. What surprised her about their behavior was the fact that the masked people didn't point their guns at her right away, and actually hesitated or even wondered how to use them. Narin didn't wait any longer, however, and killed the first guard and wounded the second in the leg. When he fell to the ground screaming, the woman approached him, took off the mask from her face and pinned it to the ground with a strong movement.

"Who are you? " She asked at once, to which the young man looked at her in horror, but didn't answer. "Talk! " She shook him and deliberately hit the bleeding wound.

The young man, however, was still silent, and after a while he bit something that was hidden in his mouth. A second later, he was already dead, so Vazquez tossed his corpse aside and began to search it, but unfortunately found nothing.

"Poison? " Mauricio asked. "He had a poison pill inside, didn't he?" He shook his head in disbelief.

"Something's not right here. " Narin replied to her friend. "There should be a lot more guards, and knowing their boss, the whole area should be booby-trapped. "

"Maybe it's just a cover. " Itzel interjected, communicating with her companions through the same mini earpiece as the others.

"Or maybe Bill isn't here at all. " The black-haired girl sighed.

"We're already inside, we got rid of the guard on the first floor." Martinez said.

"I shot down the guy on the second one, you've got the road clear for now." Serrano added.

Assassin glanced uncertainly toward the front door, her gaze lingering on the doorknob. It was far too quiet.

The mulatto girl quickly pressed the handle and immediately jumped aside in case something attacked her from the inside. But nothing of the sort happened, which surprised her all the more.
