7:29am

"so fucking dumb. i just woke up. i don't want to deal with a dumb seven year old. i don't have the time. i wanted to eat!" i say to myself while in the elevator. "i didn't want to meet this child. i don't like children! i already want to murder chin! like, what?" i question.

the elevator stops and opens.

i step off and head into the direction of her room.

i yawn, still sleepy.

at least dominic is awake.

maybe we'll click again.

i finally get to her room and the door slides open.

i enter and see her sitting on her bed.

she's smaller than i expected.

"who are you?" she asks.

"i'm anna. your name?"

"apollonia, but everyone calls me apple. you're ann's daughter," she says.

"so she's talks about me?"

"borkov does. he says nice things about you."

i smile to myself.

"well, that's nice to hear. i came to give you your food, and introduce myself the way my mother wanted," i tell her, handing her her food.

"thank you."

i go to leave, but end up staring at her.

"you've left this room?" i ask.

she nods, eating her eggs first.

"i went to the ice cream place!" she smiles.

"that's cool. that ice cream is really good. i've tried it. what's your favorite flavor?"

"chocolate. what's yours?"

"i like chocolate too! isn't that something?"

"cool! we like the same flavor!"

"i know!" i chuckle.

"are you going to be bringing me my breakfast from now on?" she asks.

"i don't know. do you want me to?"

"yeah. maybe you can sneak me ice cream," she laughs.

"maybe," i laugh. "you know, you don't really look like your brother," i tell her, looking at her features.

"everyone used to say noonie and i look more alike," she tells me.

"your other brother. i've seen him. yeah, i can agree to that."

"do you know if my brothers are okay?"

"we have dominic. but we don't know where alex is. but dominic is fine. he's going to probably be a little different when you meet him," i tell her.

"yeah. i know. ann told me the same thing. that he won't remember me. but i'm just glad he's okay," she nods, digging into her pancakes.

"you still think soraya is coming for you?"

she shakes her head.

"ann's helped with my powers more than raya. i like it here. noonie can come back though. i'm not mad at him," she says.

"what about dominic?"

"what about him?"

"you mad at him?"

"yes, but it's not his fault."

"so you like it here?"

"yeah."
