"all of our parents?" seph asks.

june shakes her head.

"grayson's dad, my mom, your dad, ray's mom, alex's mom, and v's mom and dad," she explains to everyone. "plus other people."

"why didn't we bring this up last night?!" v questions. "what did the files say?"

"most of it was behavioral documentation. we have no idea what Experiment 808 is. our parents took about 16 to 20 doses of something," i explain, "a drug? medication? we don't know."

"the documents we found that was something other than behaviors, was blacked out," june says. "we could've learned more, but someone made sure we couldn't."

"wait, matt's parents didn't have a file?" i question.

june's face frowns until finally shaking her head.

"no. he didn't- or, his parents didn't," she answers me.

"oh my god. here we go," matt grumbles, "just because i'm the only one who doesn't have a file doesn't mean anything."

"i'm just saying, seems a little suspicious," i shrug.

"so government did cause our powers," alex says.

"no. wouldn't gray and seph have them?" i question.

"who says they don't?" june says. "seph can still see things in her dreams. it hasn't happened in a while but i still believe it's something. she even had apple's kidnap matched to her dream."

"yeah, i know. i don't know. ann has blood from dominic, alex and now apple. wouldn't she already have the drug that causes superpowers?" i ask.

"she's taking their blood?!" gray questions.

"she's already created her holy trinity," i nod. "which means we be prepared for anything."

"so we could possibly have ann with powers?" seph asks.

"that would be some boss level shit," matt says, shaking his head.

i look at alex.

he's been quiet.

"it's a theory, and it's one that we won't ignore," i state.

everyone's stopped eating as we've been discussing in further detail of last nights events.

"we've gotta get to finding a boat," alex says, coming out of his trance and connecting eyes with me.

"hold on alex, some people want food on their stomachs," v says.

"at most, ann will be a newbie with her powers. i don't believe she can beat me in a one on one," i say out loud.

she's one-upped me, taking the people close to me. but i'll return the favor.

"but alex is right. boat first, and then we could draft out a plan for action. we'll probably have to make sure dominic and apple are aware," i say.
