"Of course," you whispered. He lifted his head from yours ever so slightly, now looking at you. "Will you be my girlfriend, please?" he whispered.
Your jaw loosened in shock, "Really?" You knew you both had something going on, but you didn't think he was going to make it official.
He chuckled ,"Yes, that's why I'm asking, dummy." You tackled him to the ground with a hug ,"Yes! Yes, of course, idiot!" You both laughed in adoration, catching each others lips in another kiss.
You both sat on the edge watching the sun go down for about another hour. Once the sun was fully down, you both stared at the stars. There were so many stars up above, yet the one you liked the most was right next to you.
The pair talked about anything and everything, there wasn't ever enough conversation for them. There was no end to topics, giggles and jokes. They were the two missing pieces to the puzzle.
Tom noticed the girl's eyes dropping as sleepiness began taking over. He simply grabbed her hand and took her back to the car.
The ride back home was much like the one from earlier. They sat in a comfortable and quiet mood as music poured out from the car's speakers. The volume was much lower due to it being 1 am.
An old beat emerged from the radio, they both looked at each other with smiles as they slightly raised the volume.

They sang in sync, both of their heads rocking from side to side. Tom's right hand left the steering wheel to caress Y/N's cheek. She smiled at the contact of his skin against hers.
His hand was then placed on her thigh, his thumb rubbed circles on her thigh all the way to her house. The few people on the streets smiled at the couple as they sang their hearts out to the songs playing.
Tom parked in front of Y/N's house, getting out to open the door for Y/N. The girl chuckled at his manners ,"Thank you, Tommy," she said as she took his hand.
He walked her all the way to the front door of the home. She inserted the key into the door, pushing it open with a grunt. She turned to the tall boy, giving him a hug.
