Adrien

"I guess I caught you?" He questioned, guilt sinking into his skin at the way she immediately turned her head away from him.

She didn't say anything, so he shifted his weight off of her, laying down next to her. He knew this was a bad idea. But Alya had said that Marinette was upset, so he had wanted to end the game. He had only turned the dial back on to find her. He had completely forgotten it was on when he opened the door. She was incredibly distracting.

"I wondered why it kicked in when I kissed you."

He looked at the celing, wallowing in embarrassment. She probably hated him.

"At least we don't have to go skinny dipping." She murmered, and he looked over at her.

Her voice sounded different.

"Are you okay? Alya said you wouldn't be mad, I know I-"

She snapped her head towards him, and the tears in her eyes made him fall silent.

"You told Alya?"

"No, she just knew."

He had wondered how it was she knew, but he figured she had just seen Max give him the remote.

"Did she pick your dare?"

"No, why would sh-"

"Did she talk to Max?"

He nodded, and she covered her face with her hands, yanking his wrist towards her.

"Marinette, what's wrong?"

"Let's go find her."

"What? Why?"

She didn't answer, getting up and snatching her purse up from the floor. He followed behind quickly, the cuff pinching his wrist as she pulled.

"Are you mad?"

"Oh I'm fucking livid."

He raised an eyebrow, trying to recall if he had ever heard her talk like that. She yanked open the door, and he grabbed her hand to keep from being dragged all over the place.

"I'm confused. What's going on?"

Why was she so angry? And at Alya, rather than him?

"She just doesn't know when to quit." Marinette hissed, and they shot through the crowd, past the dare table.

Max looked up with a smirk, which immediately vanished when he locked eyes with Marinette.

"You cheated. Didn't you?"

He took a small step back, scratching the back of his head.

"I... I don't know what you mean."

"You're one of the judges Max. You should be ashamed of yourself. I thought you of all people would uphold the damn rules." She snapped, and Adrien squeezed her hand, trying to calm her down.

Max had cheated? On her dare?

"I'm sorry." Max mumbled, and she scoffed, leading him back outside.

Alya was standing by the pool and he tried to send a telepathic message to Nino to prepare, but his best friend never picked up on stuff like that. Marinette stopped in front of Alya, who slowly smiled.

"Hey... so you guys finished your dare. Yay?"

"I can't believe you!" Marinette snapped, stomping her foot.

He had never seen her so mad.

"I don't know what you're talking about?"

Alya tried to sound confused, but even her voice sounded guilty.
