A/N: This chapter does deal with some dark implications of assault btw, just as a heads up! As always, please let me know what you think! Hopefully you enjoy! The plot will pick up again next chapter!

Landing harshly on the ground, Bellamy wanted nothing more than to just lay there for the next few hours or so. After getting her ass repeatedly kicked by Four, she was more than ready to call it quits.

She had a bruise on her jaw and three more near her ribs. Her muscles had been screaming an hour ago. Now they were just angry at her, and near ready to rebel by making her go to bed early.

Four extended a hand to her, eyebrows raised as he peered at her. "Giving up?"

Letting out a groan, Bellamy accepted the hand. He pulled her to her feet in one large movement, a testament to the fact that he was much stronger than she was. Then she probably ever would be.

"Do you have to be so hard on me?" Bellamy whined, legs burning as she shifted her weight and stretched out.

At that, a chuckle spilled from Four's lips. "I know that you probably think this is pointless—"

"Well when I graduate, I'll get a gun."

"A gun only gets you so far, Kitty." Four said firmly. "Besides, one day you'll be able to take down much bigger and stronger guys."

That was the only appealing portion of training with Four. He never made it easy on her, and more than once, she had threatened to quit. He had taunted her in those instances, of course. Quitting just wasn't in her nature. Wasn't in her blood.

"And," Four added. "You'll be stronger and ready for the Sheer."

Her head whirled towards him. "Is that why you've been so harsh? Because it's your version of trying to help?" She questioned.

A grin played on his features. "What do you think?"

"One day, I'm gonna beat you."

"Well for that to happen, you'd have to keep working with me." Four pointed out. "But you look totally dead on your feet."

"Wow," Bellamy said dryly. "You really know how to make a girl feel good about herself."

Rolling his eyes, Four gestured at the door. "Come on, I'll walk you back to your alcove."

Bellamy wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to just walk and chat with Four. It was rare to have his full and undivided attention during initiate season. A grin tugged onto Bellamy's face and she followed after him.

Walking down the darkened hallways, Bellamy stole a glance over at him. "Thanks for the help." She said in a quiet tone.

Equally as rare were her genuine moments of gratitude. She didn't say it enough, but she really did love Four. And she was grateful for him and all of the help that he gave her.

"What did I say about thanking me?"

"That I don't have to." Bellamy said quietly.

"And you never will. It's what family does for one another." Four nudged her elbow with a grin on his face.

"You may be a hard-ass trainer. But you're a good brother." Bellamy relented.

"You've been quiet lately. A lot on your mind?"

Ah, there was the underlying question that she knew existed. Four always knew when she was upset about something. She tended to talk less when she had a lot on her mind, so she knew she hadn't exactly been subtle about things.
