A/N: I hope you all really enjoy this one!

"I knew you'd warm up to me—" Peter was abruptly silenced by a swift kick to the ass by Bellamy.

"I will still shoot you, asshole." Bellamy murmured, shaking her head at him. "What part of 'quiet' do you not understand?"

"Bossy." Peter murmured in annoyance, continuing to lead the way through the halls. He paused, a frown on his face. "It's just down that hall."

"Great," Bellamy said, slinging the large gun up. "Let's go."

"No, they'll see you and freak out. I'll go in, you wait here."

Bellamy pulled him close, using the front of his shirt. "Let me be explicitly clear: You betray me or the others in any way, and I'll personally cut off your dick and force it down your throat, got it?"

Peter swallowed dryly. "Got it."

With that, he disappeared down the hall, leaving Bellamy to wait for him. She didn't have to wait long. Two minutes into the wait, an alarm began to blare in the hallways.

"Security breach, security breach!"

Peter suddenly appeared at her side. "See? On your side."

"For now, you mean." Bellamy retorted, holding up her gun as they hurried through the halls.

"The exit is this way!" Peter complained, gesturing to the right.

"And the way to Four and Tris is the opposite way, thank you." Bellamy said, turning to face him. "I am fully capable of shooting my way out of this damn place. Do you want to test that?"

"Not particularly."

"Good, let's move."

Rounding the next corner, Bellamy immediately felt something pressed to her head. "Drop it!" The soldier commanded.

Peter just looked stunned by the guards that had appeared. Evidently, he hadn't seen this coming either.

She just smiled sweetly and dropped the gun. As she waited for the bullet to come, she tugged the gun forward and to the right. The bullet blasted into the wall and all hell broke loose. Running up the nearest wall, Bellamy launched off of it and straight into a man.

Her feet slammed into his chest and she landed lightly on her hands, dodging a hit from another bullet. This time though, Peter really did have her back. He had grabbed her discarded gun and shot at the others, giving her time for an opening.

One of the guards punched at her and she dodged the hit, latching onto his arm with her hands. Using his force and momentum, she launched herself atop his shoulders and then body slammed him into the ground, rolling into a standing position.

In seconds flat, the duo had taken out the group of guards. "You know," Peter breathed out, running a hand through his hair. "If I had known you were gonna do all of that, I never would've touched your ass."

"Lesson learned, asshole."

Before they could get any farther into the compound, a message was being blared over every speaker. The message, all the same.

"Hello, I come from outside the wall. Where we have all but destroyed each other. We, WCKD, designed your city as an experiment. We believe it is the only way to recover the humanity we have lost. We created Factions to ensure peace. We believe that there will be those among you who will transcend these Factions. These will be the Divergent. They are the true purpose of this experiment and are vital to humanity's survival. If you're watching this now then at least one of you is proof that our experiment has succeeded. The time has come for you to emerge from your isolation and rejoin us. We've allowed you to believe that you're the last of us, but you're not. Mankind waits for you, with hope, beyond the wall."

Bellamy wanted to throw up as they hurried to the lab. This whole damn thing–an experiment. A lie. They were all just pawns in a bigger game and none of them had known it.

And WCKD, what the hell was that?

She wasn't quite sure, but it didn't leave a good taste in her mouth. This whole thing, it had bad written all over it.

And Divergents—the solution—how was that even possible? What had gone on beyond the wall that none of them were aware about? What was the state of the rest of the world? Why was the experiment needed?

Her mind was racing with countless questions. "Kill them both—"

Bellamy didn't hesitate in pulling her trigger. And then something behind her pulled another trigger. Her eyes were wide as she turned, finding Evelyn, Tori, and all of the army behind her. They had come.

They weren't going to die here. None of them were.

Bellamy sharply elbowed Peter. "You're awfully smug. Thinking about your next promotion?"

"Obviously."

"Idiot."

Bellamy watched as the message was played in every portion of Chicago, the truth finally being shed for their world to see. And for the first time in her life since learning she was a Divergent, she didn't feel terrified about her future.

"What now?" Tris breathed out as they walked outside, everyone staring at the small rag-tag group.

"Only one way to find out." Four said, gaze falling on the rest of the city. And what lay beyond there. The wall.

"I don't know," Bellamy said, appearing at his side. "It's a lot of unknown. You sure you're ready for what's waiting out there?"

Tris couldn't help the smile that slipped onto her face. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"Then let's do this. But next time, someone else babysits Peter. He's enough of an entitled ass without getting my attention." Bellamy insisted.

Four just chuckled. "You got it."
