Chapter 78

I get up in the morning on my own.

I sit up, rubbing my eyes, and then I'm lost in my thoughts for a while.

When I'm fully awake, I just realised this is the first time the housekeepers haven't disturbed me.

Jungkook comes to mind. So, today he doesn't call me to go down to have breakfast with him?

I scoff.

So, last night, we really fought.

But he usually ignores me and always comes to me.

Maybe what I said to him was too harsh.

I don't care, he deserves it.

I get up and go to the shower.

I go down and come across the housekeeper.

"Lady, what do you want for breakfast?" she asks.

"Jungkook's leftover," I say because I know he always leaves so many foods, even the untouched ones.

"Master doesn't have breakfast today," she says.

"Oh, why?" I ask her.

"I don't know".

"Did he eat outside?" I ask.

"I don't know".

"Oh, okay," I say.

"So, what do you want to eat, lady?"

"Chicken porridge"

She nods and bows her head at me, then walks past me.

I walk straight down to Seol's room.

Seol is not in this room.

Maybe the babysitter bathes him, so I quickly go to the bathroom in this room.

I open the bathroom's door. No one is here.

I became panicked.

What if Jungkook takes Seol away because he wants to get back at me?

I can't breathe, and I quickly get out, looking for someone to ask.

I see the babysitter, and I grab her arm. "Where is Seol?"

"Oh, Young Master? Master took him to his bedroom".

"Are you sure?" I ask her for a confirmation. I'm really scared at my own thought that Jungkook could've taken Seol.

"Yes. I saw Master taking Young Master to his bedroom."

I feel a bit of relief. Seol is still in this mansion.

"How long has it been?" I ask her.

"Maybe half an hour ago," the babysitter says.

Jungkook is lying on the couch with Seol on his chest.

In front of the couch lies a grand, transparent window that offers a picturesque view of the surrounding scenery.

Jungkook watched Seol's eyes widen as he gazed upon the vast expanse of the blue sky.

"Do you want to go outside?" Jungkook asks.

Seol is making a cooing sound, and Jungkook considers it a yes answer.

"Too bad, you're not safe outside. Just stay with Daddy," he says.

Jungkook wishes to take Seol strolling outside, but the thought of potential danger lurking in the shadows made him reconsider. Because Seol is his son and his successor.
