I missed you," I breathe, tears falling.

Jungkook looks up at me.

"I missed you too."

The moment I am free, I throws myself into his arms.

And he catches me—tight, fierce.

As if nothing in the world matters more than this.

He closes his eyes, burying his face into my neck, inhaling like he's trying to memorize my scent, my warmth, my presence.

Jungkook missed this.

Her soul.

Her skin.

Her everything.

But behind his grip, there's something else. Something brewing.

She's a fool.

A dumb, reckless little fool.

Seol.

He almost lost Seol trying to get to her.

This girl... she doesn't understand. If he keeps her on a strict guard for her safety, she whines about being a prisoner. But the moment he gives her freedom—this is what happens.

A sharp gasp escapes me. "Jungkook—it hurts."
He blinks, realizes his fingers have dug into her sides so hard they've left marks. He loosens his grip instantly, letting her breathe. But his hand still stays on her—possessive, heavy.

Across the clearing, Jin groans from his wounds, being dragged into a car by Jungkook's men.

Jungkook's gaze shifts to Kyungsoo, who stands frozen, worries written all over his face.

"Go back," Jungkook orders coldly. "Maybe I'll see you again in seven days."

Kyungsoo drops to his knees. "Please don't torture him, Master. I beg you. My loyalty's never wavered—I swear it."

Jungkook scoffs. Kyungsoo... This thing can make people act this way... Pathetic.

Then he turns back to y/n. His eyes soften only slightly.

He has so much to deal with. And she is at the top of that list.

"Let's go," he says, already walking to the car.

I try to follow, but he walks fast—too fast for me.

My leg gives out, my injured thigh screaming in pain. I stumble, biting down a cry as I trip and hit the ground hard.

Tears well up, unbidden.

I look up. He's already turned.

Our eyes meet.

Without a word, he strides back, crouches, and lifts me into his arms—effortless, bridal style.

I clutch at his shirt, blinking past tears. His jaw is tense. His eyes stare straight ahead.

No words.

No questions.

No "are you okay?"

He's silent.

But silence with Jungkook isn't empty. It's heavy.

And I know what it means.

He's mad.

He's furious.

And I'm scared.

Not of what he'll do to me. But of what it means if he stops loving me.

If I've ruined it.

If I've lost him.

I bury my face in his chest and whisper, "Please... don't hate me."
