I scoot myself up against the headboard and glance over at Jungkook, still fast asleep beside me.

My heart warms instantly.

Resting a hand on my stomach, I close my eyes for a moment. Our baby...

I love him so much. I'm so glad I decided to keep our second child.

My thoughts drift back to the day we found out I was pregnant again.

I was furious—completely overwhelmed. And there he was, standing in front of me with that innocent expression, trying so hard to calm me down.

We hadn't expected it. Not at all. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did.

But honestly... I loved the way he convinced me.
A small smile spreads across my face as I study him now. He's so cute. Not just handsome—he's somehow getting even cuter with time.

Carefully, I lean toward him and brush my fingertips along his cheek.

"I love you. I love you, you know?" I whisper softly.

I pull my hand back, biting my lower lip as I continue watching him sleep.

I think about our college days, when we were just dating—when everything felt uncertain yet thrilling at the same time. Back then, all I wanted was something simple: to be married to him, to have children together, to lie in the same bed and hold him close.

I remember wishing I could just hug him, cuddle against him without hesitation. But he was always so cold and shy, keeping his distance like he was afraid of his own feelings.

And now... here we are.

Married. Expecting our second baby. Sharing the same bed every night.

It all happened in such an unexpected, chaotic way, but somehow, I still got everything I once wished for.

I shake my head lightly.

Sometimes fate feels strange... almost unreal.

Hmm. He's the weird one.

Definitely not me.

Suddenly, Jungkook lets out a soft waking sound. His eyes slowly open and land on me, still hazy with sleep. He looks so dreamy like that.

"You're up so early, babe..." he murmurs, voice deep and rough. "Why? Pregnancy discomfort?"

"Yes," I answer softly.

In an instant, he's fully awake. He pushes himself up and leans toward me carefully. "What's wrong?" he asks, placing his hand against my forehead to check my temperature.

I just stare at him.

Before I can say anything else, my phone alarm suddenly rings.

I reach over quickly, turn it off, and place the phone back on the bed. When I look up, he's still watching me with concern.

"Babe... why did you set an alarm this early in the morning?" he asks gently.

I hesitate for a second.

"Because you always leave without saying anything lately," I admit. "You used to wake me up and ask me to have breakfast together. But now you don't anymore."

I look down at my hands.

"That's why I feel uncomfortable."

Silence settles between us.

Not heavy. But tense.

I can feel his eyes on me — sharper now.

Thinking.
