"Shannon can we get ice cream later?" Rose says making me turn to her seeing some pumpkin soup smothered on the corner of her lips. A messy eater like I am.
"Honey, can you wipe your mout—"
"I got it." I say taking a Kleenex from Rose's back pack and wipes the stain off her mouth. "You should ask your mom about that pumpkin." I say as soon as she's clean.
"Mommy can we have ice cream later?" She pouts and give her the puppy eyes and I watch in entertainment since she fucking learned that from me.
"Yep you can definitely have ice cream later on. Want me to buy you a gallon instead?" Florence interrupted making me burst out in laughter watching Scar's reaction.
"Flo"
"What? how can you not say yes to that. That is power I tell you" Scarlett shakes her head and rolls her eyes then turns to give me a look.
"I'm starting to have second thoughts on leaving my daughter to you for two days, you're turning her to a little version of yourself." I gasped trying to pretend of being offended by her accusation.
"Wha— I don't know what you're talking about." Rose giggles and then gasps copying me. So I sighed in defeat and say. "Yea, I see it. At least I can say she's not into girls."
"Good one." Florence snorts in laughter as she takes a bite of her food. Before Scar could even say anything and might probably take back the fact of her letting Rose stay with us for two days, I changed the subject. Momma bear is really annoyed at the moment, which she's been these past few days really and I don't know what's up with that.
"So you and Colin where are you off to?"
"New York" She sighs. "We're visiting his parents because they're kind of having a panic because they think they have the disease and Colin thinks its best if we just leave Rose behind just in case it is true, and you were the first one in mind so that's that." I smiled and nod. "And it really was a relief that you two moved in so I know that she really has an adult to look after for her."
"Hey—"
"You two live together?" Florence suddenly asks catching both our attention with her tone.
"Yea, I moved in just last week. Its like we've never been apart to be honest living with her is the best. She's the best." I smiled at the thought of her and all the memories we've created so far living together and to be honest I'm falling in love with her even more and more each day. My phone buzzes. Its a message from her.
Florence? Florence Pugh?
Yup. We're here at Hugo's having lunch might probably stop by for ice cream later on because Rose is asking for it non stop. Are you on a break or something?
Yes, got a hang of my phone. I miss you. Can you come here already.
I miss you too sweetheart, I might distract you from working even more though, that I have Rose with me. I promise we'll go straight to you after we get some treats.
She didn't reply after that. I guess her break is over. I look up and saw two women staring at me with a smile on their faces.
"What?" I asked settling my phone on the table.
"Lizzie?"
"Yea, why?"
"You're so in love." Scarlett chuckles and that actually
made me smile. "I want to say it makes me sick but I'm really happy you got back together."
