"So how are things with the two of you?" Benedict smiles as soon as we finished ordering our food. I try my best to act cool and not bothered with the situation I'm in but I'm really suspicious on Benedict's actions.
"We're good, never been this happy for a while and its the best." Elizabeth giggles and I smile hearing that. Well, I've never been happier my whole life that's the truth for me.
"Well, it shows, you own headlines again when you got back together. I'm really surprised to see you again at the studios Shannon, you disappeared from the face of the earth for a long time." He gives me this look. The look that says, I know something that you don't kind of look and I'm done with it, really. Trying to figure him out is giving me a terrible headache already as I can feel my head throbbing again, so I say,
"Let's cut to the chase, what do you know?" I say leaning forward and resting my elbows on the table.
"Shannon" Elizabeth nudges me but I didn't break eye contact and just wait for him to just fucking spill it out. He raises his brows and chuckles.
"What're you talking about?"
"You know something." I felt another nudge and this time, I glanced at Elizabeth who is looking at me with total confusion on her face and asking me what the fuck is going on.
"Can I ask you something?" Benedict eventually says so I looked back at him. "What we're you wearing at Comic Con last 2019?" Shit, I don't fucking remember.
"W-Why are you asking me that?" I chuckled nervously. Elizabeth's hand made its way to my knee and its turning cold. He shrugs and take a sip of his wine. I thought he would've let it go but then he looks at me and waits.
"I don't quite remember, that was two years ago." I say. He looks at me intensely. Studying if I was either saying the truth or am I just covering it up.
"Benedict?" I hear Elizabeth whispers and it came out as shaky as her hands turns freezing cold and I can hear her breathing unsteadily. Fuck, she can't have a fucking panic attack here.
"I know about the accident." He blurts out and that's when Elizabeth releases a heavy breath. She immediately rummages through her bag breathing heavily and I was on panic. So I held on both of her shoulders so she could look at me.
"Baby, you need to stay calm." I say but her eyes are roaming around. Not focused on me and even then I can see thunderstorm clouds in them. How the fuck did he found out about it.
"How did you know? Why didn't you tell me?" Elizabeth asks Benedict turning her attention to him and ignoring me.
"I'm telling you now. Wait, hey hey." Elizabeth is pressing on her phone dialing hard her hands are shaking still breathing sharply. "Lizzie, you okay?"
"How did you know?" She asks in urgency, Its a good thing this place is full packed because there's chatting everywhere so its impossible for us to be heard.
"Who are you calling?" Benedict asks.
"Just answer me how did you find out about it?" She snaps.
"Elizabeth" She snaps her head at me and I looked at her asking her to fucking calm down. She stares into my eyes as I feel her shoulders relax. But still her phone is stuck up on her ear.
"It's alright, its just Benedict." I say before turning to look at Benedict right in the eye. "Right?" He slowly nods with a frown on his face, his eyes laced with confusion and worry. Well, it is a kept secret buried 50ft underground and for him to know about it without any connection to whoever knows it, really is something we should be worried about.
