"Are you sure you are okay with staying here while I'm gone?" I asked mom for the fifth time, hoping that she'll say no so I have an excuse to stay home.
"I'm positive honey." She smiled, picking up one of my bags and walking with me over to the door. "You go have fun. You need it." She kissed my cheek as I took the bag from her. She cupped my face with both hands and stared at me in worry. "Don't do anything you'll regret, okay? Please?"
I nodded to assure both her and I that I wouldn't and quickly gave her a hug. "I promise, mom." I sent her a soft smile before opening the door and walking out.
Once the door clicked shut I let out a sigh and leaned against it, trying to get over the nerves that I had no reason why they were there. "Here goes nothing." I shrugged and pushed myself off the door, gripped my bags, and headed off to the taxi waiting out side.

I saw Rain waiting out side of Brandie's jeep and gave a wave to him. His face lit with a bright smile and he rushed over to the taxi once I stepped out. "I honestly thought you weren't going to come." He exclaimed and pulled me into a bone crushing, yet really comforting and much need hug. "God, it's good to see." He pulled away with a smile.
"It's good to see you too, pimp." I beamed and he gave a chuckle. I looked pass him and saw Brandie leaning against the jeep, sending me a smile but was fidgeting like she was nervous.
"Let me help you with your bag." Rain said, pulling me over to the open trunk. I went to protest his help but wasn't even able to get a few words out before someone else cut me off.
"What the hell is she doing here?" Lyric's voice ripped through the air and my whole body froze. I looked up at Rain with terrified eyes, mainly because of the fact I'm not ready to face him again, and slightly because of the sound of his voice. I heard foot steps coming towards us and I knew I should turn around but I couldn't force myself to.
Lyric was suddenly in front of me with his back facing me and I took that chance to study what I could of him. He was wearing his favorite tank top, worn out jeans, and a pair of vans. His skin look paler and his hair was much longer than the last time I saw him. I was afraid to see what the front of him looked like. Already thinking of the worse.
"She's here cause I invited her." Rain said calmly, not stopping lifting my bags out of the trunk.
"You said that it was just gonna be you, me, and Brand." Lyric seethed quietly to him. "She was not part of this trip."
"Well now she is." Rain shrugged and pushed pass him to put my bags in the jeep. Lyric got his arm and spun him around harshly, making one of my bags drop from his hands. I widen my eyes at his action, the little voice in the back of my mind already reminding me I shouldn't have came.
"If she comes..." He broke off and cut his eyes at me. I sucked in a breath at the sight of all the pain and hate were filled in them, my heart paining at the thought of it all being caused of me. "Then I'm not." He growled the last part.
Rain yanked his arm away from him with a glare, picked up the fallen bag, and stormed off to the jeep. I watched in guilt before cutting my eyes at Brandie who was just staring down at the ground with her arms crossed.
"Rain, I don't have to come if it's gonna be a problem." I rushed out. "I don't want to cause any drama. I'll just g-"
"Okay listen!" He suddenly exploded, slamming the door to the jeep shut. Brandie flinched along with me but didn't lift her head. "I don't give a damn about the drama between the two of you right now. I get what happen was messed up and I understand why you are mad, Lyric but can you just stop with the whining and suck it up for one freaking weekend. That is all I am asking for! You don't have to talk to each other. You don't even have to look at each other. All I want is to spend my first weekend out of the city since the accident with two of my closest friends. Can we do that please?" He cut his eyes back and forth between us.
